Ketty was extremely knowledgeable and the tour was amazing! There were only 4 of us and she went out of her way to show us the important aspects of the Basilica and Doges Palace. She was funny and very engaging.

Our guide Mary (aka Marialaurel) was exceptional. She is passionate about her chosen home of Venice and shared her deep knowledge of art, architecture and history as she walked us through St Mark’s Square, stepped us through Basilica San Marco and toured us throughout the Doges Palace. We learned so much!

My family and I were so lucky to have Marialaura as our guide for St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history and architecture of Venice and told us some wonderful stories about St Mark's and some of the legends and superstitions of the city. We also enjoyed hearing about present day Venice and Marialaura gave us a lunch recommendation that was without question the best meal of our vacation. If you have an opportunity to book a tour with Marialaura you will not be disappointed.

Venice has been a bucket list item for years. We were finally able to go and what an experience! It was everything we dreamed it would be and more. The absolute highlight was the semi-private, skip-the-line tour with Marialaura. She was an absolute gem and made the tour totally worth every cent. She is exceptionally well qualified, knowledgeable, friendly, easy to understand (she spoke EXCELLENT English), and knew all of the pathways to avoid long wait lines. She was a total fountain of knowledge and information. She kept our small group at a good pace, not too fast, not too slow, and even though it was a comprehensive 3 1/2 hour tour, the time absolutely flew. I came away with a head full of new knowledge and appreciation for what Venice was and had accomplished over the centuries. And Marialaura was at the center of all that. What a joy to have as a guide!
