Exceptional value for money and well organised. We loved the taxi ride to Murano in a very well maintained classic styled wooden boat. Very informative guide through the factory and the option to purchase items through the factory store. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Venice, it is a must do!

The boat ride to and from Murano was amazing, but the personal interactions from the staff at the studio and gallery were exceptional. Very informative and it was incredible to see the skills of the artists in action. I would highly recommend this!

Great trip to Murano to tour the glass blowing factory. You are able to see a demonstration and then walk around and shop in the store. The boat ride was also very nice.

    So so experience

    eeschultemd, Dec 2025
Pick up and drop off spot were different. We did not know that the original tour organizer did not accompany us to the island. The boat ride took about an hour. The actual glass making demo was less than 20 minutes.

    Response from Host, Jan 2026

In Venice, pick-up and drop-off points may occasionally differ due to water-taxi logistics (traffic, tides, and docking availability). In such cases, guests are always dropped off at a central location within walking distance of the original meeting point. We understand this can be unexpected and are working to improve how this is communicated. The experience is designed to offer an authentic Murano glassmaking visit, and its main strengths include: • A private water-taxi transfer through the Venetian lagoon, offering unique views and a comfortable journey • A live glassblowing demonstration by a real Murano master glassmaker, showcasing traditional techniques passed down through generations • Explanations about Murano glass, its history, styles, and craftsmanship inside the gallery / exhibition area • Free time in the factory showroom, with no obligation to purchase and access to factory prices Our team welcomes and assists guests at the meeting point and coordinates the transfer, while the visit itself is hosted directly by the local artisans at the glass factory, ensuring a genuine, working-environment experience rather than a scripted tour. The glassblowing demonstration typically lasts 15–20 minutes, which is standard for a live artisan demonstration and allows guests to witness the full creation process in real time. Combined with the boat transfer and the factory visit, this creates a complete and immersive Murano experience. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope this clarification helps future guests better understand the value and structure of the tour. Kind regards, Voir Venise

The glass blowing was shorter than I wished. If you plan on buying anything, go for the tour where you make a glass.

    Amazing!

We visited the glass factory experience with my mom, and we truly loved it. The boat ride alone to Murano Island was absolutely worth it — gliding across the water by speedboat made the whole trip feel special and unforgettable. The glass factory itself was a very positive and unique experience. It was fascinating to see this kind of craft and business up close, especially since we don’t have anything like it in our country. Watching the artists work with molten glass, shaping it into beautiful pieces, was both impressive and inspiring. Overall, it was a wonderful and memorable experience. Highly recommended.

    Glass blowing demonstration

    Melody_C, Oct 2025
The glass blowing demonstration was fantastic, but brief. It is truly a skill to be able to do that. Going through the gallery was interesting but prices are so high, but it is art. If you do like a piece, look for something similar in the souvenir shops in Venice as they have many very similar things.

    Manage your expectations....

    Abbe_K, Oct 2025
Manage your expectations. The boatride was nice. The glass making demonstration was interesting. But it was maximum 10 minutes. The rest was basically viewing their showroom and gift shop.

    Response from Host, Oct 2025

Thank you for sharing your feedback. This experience includes a private water taxi ride to Murano, a real glassblowing demonstration, and a visit to the gallery and large showroom of an authentic Murano glass factory. We’re proud to offer this genuine experience, which our guests usually love for its authenticity and charm. Our team remains available throughout your stay in Venice for any recommendations or assistance you may need.

Loved seeing how they make Morano Glass right at the heart of it. It was a wonderful trip and the entire experience was just great

Worth it - but manage your expectations

Meeting point is clear and easy to find and the water taxi over to the glass place is amazing. The glass blowing is also great. However we didn't really get a tour or a guide and some of the staff, but not all, at the glass blowing were very very rude and aggressive. Some others were lovely.

    Disppointing

We got to the glass factory and enjoyed the demonstration and looking around the showroom. Asked for our return travel and we were dumped at a small canal inlet at a funeral outlet and it took us 30 minutes to find our way back to where we begun.

    Response from Host, Jul 2025

We're truly sorry for the inconvenience you experienced on your return from the glass factory. We are fully aware of this issue and share your frustration. According to our agreement with the water taxi service, all guests must be brought back to the departure point near Saint Mark’s Square. However, on rare occasions, some taxi drivers decide to stop at Santi Giovanni e Paolo (next to the largest church in Venice), which is about a 9-minute walk from Saint Mark’s. Unfortunately, this choice allows them to shorten their return route by around 10 minutes, but it creates confusion and inconvenience for our guests. We sincerely apologize, and while this decision is out of our control, we are actively working with the taxi service to ensure that all drop-offs happen as agreed. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention — your experience helps us improve. Warm regards, Alexandre Bauwin Voir Venise

This is a scam to buy...

    Cynthia_S, Jun 2025
This is a scam to buy something at the glass factory and if you don’t buy something then they leave you stranded in Murano! My whole group of 10 were stranded and had to take the water taxi back despite this coming with a feee roundtrip water taxi ride. They also never went over the history of Murano like it states and our tour guide ditched us as soon as we landed. I contacted the tour company on the app while stranded and was ignored. Afterwards I went to the Tour Shop and was only offered an alternative tour vs my money back. I will be disputing this charge. Do not waste your money.

    Response from Host, Jun 2025

This is absolutely not a scam. The activity is short but enjoyable: you are taken by private water taxi to a genuine glass factory in Murano, where a master glassblower (maestro) performs a live glass-blowing demonstration. You then visit beautiful art galleries showcasing authentic Murano masterpieces, followed by the opportunity – but never an obligation – to purchase a high-quality souvenir. Regarding the return, the water taxi was unfortunately delayed by about 25 minutes, and we’re sorry for that. You chose not to wait and returned by vaporetto instead, which we understand. However, delays in transportation can occasionally happen in Italy and are beyond our control. We always try our best, but punctuality is not always a local strong point. That said, we remain very proud of this experience, which is usually very well received by our guests. If you’d like to discuss this further, we’re of course happy to assist. And please note: we are always fully available to assist our clients during their entire stay in Venice – completely free of charge. Whether it’s to book tickets, make restaurant reservations, suggest visits, or provide advice of any kind, we’re here to help. Kind regards, Alexandre Bauwin Voir Venise

Not at described Sales was the focus. The local greeter was very friendly and offered assistance The taxi ride was fun and beautiful.. The glass demonstration was very good. However, after the on site factory/gallery employee was there to sell and there was pressure, quietly and with words to consider very expensive purchases. Felt trapped in an expensive art gallery without previously knowing this was the focus

    Response from Host, Jun 2025

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the water taxi ride, the friendliness of our local greeter, and the glass-blowing demonstration – all of which are central parts of this experience. We’re sorry to hear that you felt uncomfortable during the visit to the gallery. Please know that the visit includes access to real Murano art galleries, where you have the opportunity to admire – and if you wish, purchase – authentic pieces of Murano glass. However, there is absolutely no obligation to buy, and we do not support any form of pressure to make a purchase. We understand that everyone experiences this kind of setting differently, and we’re sorry if you felt uneasy. Our goal is to offer a unique glimpse into the artistic tradition of Murano, in a way that is both respectful and enjoyable. As always, we remain for all our clients available to assist throughout their stay in Venice – for bookings, recommendations, or any help they might need, completely free of charge. Very disappointed

    Karen_M, Jun 2025
This isn’t really a demonstration. We watched one master work for about 10 minutes. He did not say anything what he was doing. There was a guide there who answered our questions but didn’t give us any information on his own. Then they take you to a shop which is beautiful but still not a demonstration about glass making. The boat ride was fine.

    Response from Host, Jun 2025

Hello Madam Karen, we are truly sorry your visit didn’t meet your expectations. :-( On the day of your tour, our usual glass factory — where we offer a complete demonstration — was exceptionally closed. We had to arrange an alternative one. It was our first and last time with this glassfactory. So sorry again. Normally, our guests enjoy a detailed glassblowing demo with explanations, followed by a guided visit of the art galleries and next the showroom. We regret this and hope to welcome you again for the experience we are proud to provide. Best regards, Alexandre Bauwin Voir Venise – Travel Agency

Best private tour for your Buck

What a special, private tour of the glass factory. It was so enjoyable to experience the demo without hoards of people. The showrooms are spectacular. Everyone is so nice. The whole tour was effortless and relaxing.

Ravie d'avoir booké ce tour. Tout était très bien organisé. En plus de la démo qui nous intéressait particulièrement, le guide nous a donné un tas d'infos insolites sur l'histoire de l'île. Merci !
