Absolutely loved this experience and would highly recommend. We were picked up in a very clean spacious coach, driven through the countryside to the location giving us the opportunity to admire all the beautiful scenery on the way. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the venue itself was warm, inviting and fully equipped with plenty of fully functional facilities (toilets) etc. We were split into two groups of 10, briefed by our guide and helped into our cold weather suits. The experience on the snowmobiles was amazing, the darkness made it even more thrilling and we could still actually see a lot of scenery due to all the headlights. We drove first to a sort of training area, where we could familiarize ourselves with the snowmobile, practice and get used to maneuvering it and to swap drivers a few times. Then we followed our guide along the track and into the countryside. We stopped half way for a break, and photo opportunity. Afterwards, back at base we enjoyed some lovely hot soup, and warm bread in a beautiful large wooden dining room, before taking the coach again back to our starting point. The whole experience was fun, well organized and we loved it. Thank you

An extremely fun adventure

Linda_L, Feb 2026
It was very well run. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food and drink were very good and most of all riding the snowmobile was very fun. They also took us to a spot on a frozen lake and allowed us time to watch the Aurora.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

We’re thrilled you enjoyed the experience! It’s wonderful that our team, the snowmobiling, and the chance to watch the Aurora made the day so memorable.

Very cool experience....

Very cool experience. Lots of time on the snowmobiles and we went to a very secluded place to see the Lights. And got a nice hot meal afterwards.

We spent a few fantastic days around the Tromso beautiful surroundings. Last day we decided to go to Tromso and booked a snowmobile tour. When we arrived to Tromso there was a running marathon and we found most of the roads to the Norwegian Travel agency closed. Because of that we had to park a bit far and we arrived at 17:05 when the meeting time was at 17:00. We were a group of 4 people and we have paid 1,063euro. When we arrived, the tour bus had left without us without even giving us a phone call. The tour staff were rude to us. Unacceptable.

Response from Host, Jan 2025

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand how disappointing it must have been to miss your snowmobile tour. As stated in our booking confirmation and tour instructions, it’s essential to arrive at the meeting point on time to ensure smooth operations for all our guests. Unfortunately, due to the strict schedule required for these tours, our bus had to depart promptly at the designated time. We understand that the marathon in Tromsø created unexpected delays, but it is each guest’s responsibility to plan ahead for such circumstances. Our team works hard to provide clear meeting instructions, including the importance of punctuality, as we cannot delay other guests or compromise the tour experience.

Not enough snowmobiling for the price.

Norrie_H, Jan 2025
Pros: + The camp's facilities are really good (changing rooms, toilets, etc) + The food was good (reindeer soup, bread and hot blackcurrant juice) + We were there during a strong Aurora, which meant we got some fantastic images of the Northern Lights. + The equipment they provide was great. In theory, you don't need to take anything with you. + Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Cons: - You're actually only snowmobiling for about an hour on a 7 hour round trip. They told us we would be snowmobiling for around 45 minutes per driver (90 mins total) but because they were running behind schedule, this couldn't happen. We took far too long to get ready, and there was no real effort made by staff to hurry people along, which ate into our experience. - It's a bit of a pot-luck how fast you get to go, depending on other guests in your group. In our case, we didn't go beyond 18-20km hour, which was unfortunate. I've done tours in Lapland where we were able to go much faster (35km hour and beyond).

Response from Host, Jan 2025

Thank you for your feedback, Norrie, and for sharing both your positive and constructive points. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the camp's facilities, the food, and the opportunity to experience the Northern Lights, as well as the quality of the equipment provided. We sincerely apologize for the delay and the shortened snowmobiling time. We understand that the timing and pace can have a significant impact on your experience, and we truly regret that the tour did not meet your expectations in that regard. We’ll certainly take your comments into consideration as we strive to improve the efficiency of our tour operations and ensure that future participants can get the full experience they expect. Thank you again for your valuable input, and we hope to have the opportunity to offer you a more satisfying experience in the future.

Do if you can!

The bus to the camp was very comfortable, our guide friendly, and the snowmobile ride thrilling! It wasn’t one of those quick turn around rides—it was a nice long ride, with a break to play in the snow. The Sami soup and bread, and the hot beverages in the yurt were wonderful!

Fun at night time

Winter escapade

Emma_M, Feb 2024
Brilliant fun outing and fully immersive experience. Team look after you really well with clothing, equipment and guidance. Giving its mid winter it was very cold but the star scape was breathtaking. Followed by a glorious lamb dish in a cabin. Fabulous!

Fun and unique

JiaQi_P, Dec 2023
It was a unique experience, we enjoyed it and we got to take turns to ride the snowmobile as well. We were served hot soup after in a Sami hut, which really warmed us up.

Snowmobiling in the wilderness

Wayne_G, Dec 2023
Very well organised and professional. Everyone helpful - snowmobiling was a bit slow in view of following in a group but still a great experience and we were lucky to see the lights. Lamb stew was excellent to finish off a memorable evening!

Family fun, Snowmobiles & Aurora

Cynthia_M, Dec 2023
What a fabulously fun experience this was for our family of 5 (10, 16, 18). The excitement of driving/riding a snow mobile for the first time, experiencing the stark yet serene landscape of the snow capped valley on a clear moonlit evening. Enjoying the beautiful warmth of the fire in the laavu back at Camp, and our lovely and tasty meal. All those involved in creating this experience, thankyou so much. And especially so for the unexpected stop on the way back to Tromso, so we could see the beautiful Northern Lights.

Brilliant!!

Michele_P, Feb 2023
Booked last minute during our weeks stay in Tromso. We were hesitant at the ‘big bus’ aspect and there being a lot of people but was such a great set up! Although the bus held 50+ people there were multiple groups of people doing different activities such as husky rides, northern light tour, snow mobiles. Once we arrived at camp (which was so unbelievably stunning!!) we were greeted by our guides and kitted up. I was very nervous to drive the snow mobile but the guide we had was so patient and gave me confidence to try and I had an incredible time driving!! My partner drove first out through woodlands in the dark which was magical and then we stopped for photos at an opening in the mountains before swapping places and me driving back. The snow mobiles are very good quality and the snow suits given also good. After the snow mobiles we went into small huts seating around 30 people to have soup and bread. It was nice to speak to others as everyone had been doing something different. We would highly recommend the tour company and my personal thanks to my guide (on Thursday evening 1 feb) who was patient and gave me confidence to have a go!

Response from Host, Jan 2025

Thank you so much for sharing your incredible experience with us! We’re thrilled to hear that your bucket list trip exceeded your expectations. While the Northern Lights didn’t fully cooperate, it’s great to know that the stunning landscapes and whale sightings made up for it. We're so glad you enjoyed the warmth and hospitality of our crew and guides, Toine and Viola—they truly do their best to make everyone feel like part of the family! It’s also wonderful to hear that you found the facilities comfortable and enjoyed the panoramic views from the ship. We’re honored to have been part of your adventure and are glad you got to experience the natural beauty of Tromsø as well. We’d love to welcome you back for another unforgettable adventure in the future!
