Absolutely mesmerising and a fantastic but freezing freezing cold trip on the rib. Def not suitable for any children my personal opinion. Very hard going so for adults only. Very well organised and very friendly. Ensured that we got to see the orcas and if they weren’t around connecting boats liaise with each other so everyone doesn’t miss out. A great trip all round.

I’m glad that I did this because I desperately wanted to see orcas, and I got to (and humpback whales); but, despite being dressed warmly (merino wool layers and socks, Woolrich arctic parka, hand warmers in my gloves, alpaca wool hat etc) I was painfully cold. I think that the suits we were given by Arctic Adventures were not up to the necessary standard to actually keep us comfortable. I went on a night snowmobile trip with the Snow Hotel in Kirkenes and their attire was much warmer - it might be worth having a look at their’s? I understand that the sea is colder than land, but there has to be something better than what Arctic Adventures is providing. I was so excited for this activity, but after we saw the orcas I just really wanted to be comfortable again and I hated that it took so long for the boat to get back to shore (simply because of the cold).
Also, we were given little information about the orcas or whales when the boat was still - I expected the guide to be informative (not just a boat driver) so this was very disappointing.
Ultimately, I would recommend this trip simply because we got to see orcas and this was worth the discomfort/pain. However, Arctic Adventures needs to do better with attire and information provided by guides. Also, whoever was filling the cups of hot chocolate was super frugal with it.

It was amazing! The scenery was beautiful and we saw so many Orcas and Humpback Whales. Being on a RIB made the whole experience even more special as the animals came so close. The trip was well organised staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the winter suits were really warm. If can, do this trip - it's a once in a lifetime opportunity.

This is a must do when in Norway.
A magical experience. We saw a lot of orcas and whales.
It is - obviously - cold, but so worth it!
Our guide Siam was very kind and found the best spots.
We will never forget this trip!

Boat ride and whale watching was great. Our captain and helper were wonderful. Checked out our gear and overall very helpful. Reason not a 5 is porta-potties were very dirty and full and some had no hand sanitizer. Also rubber gloves were very cold but not big enough to put your own gloves in.

Patience and be grateful with what nature has to offer. After 1.5hrs of searching the area, our groups (just 2 boats) were blessed with 2 pods of Orcas! No words can describe the excitement of first seeing the Orcas close up with your own eyes.

We were extremly lucky to see so many whales. But our professional guide, his knowledge of the region and the whale behavior as well as the good (and very warm) gear and garments made it all possible. We recommend taking some snacks with you.

The trip was amazing. We saw lots of orcas and humpback whales and the boat ride was also not too wavy. We recommend bringing some snacks as it's in total a 8h bus ride and about a 2.5-3h boat ride.

It was wonderful, we've seen a lot of orcas, and even an eagle. It was amazing, and our guide Gabi was very friendly and willing to teach us about the behavior of the fauna. Super indico.

Wenn man Wale sieht (ich hatte Glück) super Erlebnis! Snacks und Getränke - na ja, ein Sandwich und ein Getränk (Kaffee, Tee oder heiße Schokolade) ist zu wenig. Also etwas mitnehmen.

Hi,
Whales are just amazing, so we are glad you got see some.
Yes, it is a long day, so it is a great advice for future guests to bring some snacks for the bus ride. Being out in the cold with the whales makes one hungry.
Thank you!
Best wishes
