The cruise was a fabulous experience including a very nice 3 course dinner. The boat was of a high standard, but the most impressive thing about the night was the service from the crew who were exceptional at all stages. They went out of their way to help, particularly regarding the northern lights, and as a result, we got some wonderful photos. Thanks to Andrea and Francesca. I would highly recommend booking with Aurora cruises.

Everything we expected and more - excellent food (my gluten issue impeccably tackled), wonderful guides and aurora borealis on top! The latter should never be taken for granted, so thank you, northern lights! 😉

A lovely way to spend the evening on the water, and in our case, see some amazing NLights.
It’s pretty casual, and well organised, and the Food is fine for what it is, and you’re on a small boat.

We were sent incorrect information by Viator. We were told the meeting point was 19.15. On arrival they had just removed the gangplank and were leaving.
Luckily they let us on the boat. There was a lot ot tutting and eye rolling from other passagers.
The crew said that they knew of this problem and it would have been ok as they would refunded our money and we could re book. But we wouldn't have been able to as it it was our last night. This needs to be fixed asap to avoid spoiling people's vacation plans.
We did not see any lights but the trip itself was a nice change. The food was good and the staff friendly and entertaining.
As with most things here it is expensive for what it is. I am happy we did it but would not return.

Not too bad but I would not recommend to do it if you are tired. The food was ok. Didn’t see northern lights as it was cloudy.

Dinner cruise wasn’t bad, staff were informative and we saw the aurora through the time on board from the big viewing deck. A definite plus but there’s no guarantee of that. Staff were friendly and offered to take photos of guests with the lights above. The food was tasty but the portions were very meagre. Dietary requirements were catered for thankfully. Bottle of French wine was £60 (one of 2 choices). We sat downstairs on lower deck and it was warmer. Guests upstairs would be cold due to the door to the viewing deck being opened so many times. It was enjoyable but I wouldn’t highly rate it. The music being played was soothing though.

Honestly, I did not like this cruise and felt it was a waste of money. We paid close to $400 ISD. only to go about a mile to a mile and a half into the bay. We had to purchase wine separately, which I understand, but the food was not up to the par. The fish dish was very basic with mediocre plating.
We were all hoping and expecting to see the Northern Lights, but the experience was nothing like what was advertised. I would not recommend this cruise—please don’t waste your money.
That said, the crew was very polite and genuinely nice.

Very friendly, well informed and helpful crew. We were fortunate to catch the Northern Lights, twice, over the 3 hour cruise - but only through the camera of our phones, and not the naked eye. The first 3 courses of the dinner were average, the 3rd (panna cotta dessert), excellent! Definitely a worthwhile experience!

Extremely disappointing cruise. We booked this cruise for NYE. At the wharf there was mass confusion as the boat wasn't at the stated location however another boat was further along the wharf but wasn't our boat. Told to go back and the boat would come. Standing around in -9 wasn't enjoyable. Boat eventually arrived, bordered with a welcome drink which was a nice touch. Be aware this tour seems to be totally about the Aurora sighting. There was no atmosphere onboard just lectures on the northern lights. Would have been great to have some music. Upstairs inside deck was cold. Dinner portions small and cold. Heading back to dock the toilets were closed due to an issue. We paid in AUD which wasn't cheap can't say it was value or worth the price.

Don’t go hungry and if you don’t like fish order the vegetarian. The boat was lovely as was the view. They had someone talking (giving an aura lesson) most of the time. It would have been nice just to enjoy the scenery and the company that I went with. Upstairs inside deck was freezing!!

Can’t see any aurora due to bad weather and food portion is too small for an adult. Everything else was nice

What an epic experience!! Let’s start with the crew Elli, Alberto and Fani were absolutely fantastic, full of knowledge and really helpful! The food, beautifully presented and very tasty, all the food was fish, I think maybe different choices for children under 16 should be available - but this is a minor critique!!
The boat was clean, and the ride was smooth! We got super lucky during a week of heavy rain that we managed to see the lights, and they were epic!! We saw them dance throughout the whole cruise!
A truly memorable and magical experience

Very well organized and a pleasant adventure into the arctic bay. Food was perfectly prepared and enjoyable.

We loved this cruise. The food was great. There's a bar on board which was nice to order from and enjoy the trip. It was a windy night and we thought the boat would be rough and moving but it was actually really stable and comfortable.
Melissa_R, Feb 2025
The boat and atmosphere were lovely. The food was okay but we left still hungry. The description does say “tapas style,” so I should have better managed my expectations. We didn't see the northern lights but that’s nature and never guaranteed. If that’s your goal this probably isn’t the right activity as you don’t go very far out of the harbor. Overall, this was a nice evening but for the price I don’t think I’d do it again.

Vessel was lovely and modern, the food and service were great. Energetic commentary. We were lucky to see the lights.
Kenneth_S, Feb 2025
Food was very good. Staff was very personable, entertaining, and informative. We got some great pictures of the northern lights with the lights from Tromso in the background.

The food was awesome and the crew/staff were very friendly and efficient. Among the awesome staff was an Australian Crew member conducting the safety briefing, ( Connor ) he was very funny and entertaining. The cruise boat/restaurant was modern and very comfortable. It’s the best one i have ever been on.

The Green Lady was very generous. The vessel, the crew and the dinner met our expectations and beyond. A 'must do'.
Kathryn_K, Dec 2024
pleasant ride, good food, we did see some aurora
there were long periods of silence between courses with nothing happening - perhaps they could play more music or some informational videos on the screen
Louise_M, Dec 2024
Food local and delicious. Given a welcome drink on arrival. Went out into the bay a little way away from too much light and lady Aurora put on a beautiful show for us
Peter_V, Nov 2024
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. It was windy and cold out on the deck, but the views were beautiful.
Dottie_R, Nov 2024
Wonderful experience! We were worried the clouds would block the Northern Lights but to our delight they arrived! The dinner was delicious as well. The crew were all friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this experience!

The boat ride itself was very nice. The crew was nice and shared some information about tromso and the northern lights..we were very lucky to see the lights multiple times during the trip.. the food was good too..it was a three course meal .. the starter and the main was fish and there was dessert too.. I thought the main course was really good (Atlantic cod with some veggies and some sauce)and I was very happy with it. The started was pickled herring with some broccoli purée and pannacotta for dessert. there were not many people on the boat so it was not too crowded which made for running up the stairs to see the lights a bit easier..
On the other hand we had to wait in line to board the cruise and it was raining..the place we had to stand had snow on the ground and the rain had made it slushy.. and it was very cold.. there were in fact two boats so we didn't know which one we had to get on..Someone came and said that if the time mentioned was 19:00 it was boat B and if it was 19:01 it was boat A.. we were in boat B ..so waited in line in the rain ..then after some time, someone came and told that four of us had to go over to the other boat..all while standing in the rain.. we did leave a little late too..it was a slight inconvenience but the rest of the trip more than made up for it..

Fantastic!!!! Food was great staff was amazing longer night then I was expecting after reading all the bad reviews about cold food and short cruise. Even if we hadn’t seen the lights I still wouldn’t have said it was great.
Susan_S, Nov 2024
Sad to say but the most memorable was standing out in the rain in a queue waiting to board with NO protection at all!! After we had walked for a good 10 or more minutes to find your location again in the rain, and at night in the dark, as complete strangers to your town, your instructions on the net were only partially helpful, we had to ask at three different places to see if we were heading in the right direction, we finally found the restaurant, but there was not indication around the place as to where the meeting place was, and from what I understood from prior instructions we would be met and taken to the ship which was
located elsewhere! As it turned out we eventually found a heap of others undeer the front co ver of a nearby HOTEL, who told us the ship was moored out front!! You need some sort of Signage to say that is the meeting point and or the name of the ship so we would have known what we were looking for!! So then we all went
and queued in the rain....and then just 1 person at the gangway to accept our queries, who did not speak much english at all.....until eventually a young Australian came out to confirm
we were in the right place!!!! This could have been organized so much better especially considering the rain!!
The weather of course did not give us any sightings...understandably not your fault.
The prior info also said something about the 3 course meal would be made up of local
products. Ok got that idea, but did not expect all 3 courses to be fish!!! If you did not
like fish - there was no alternative.
The young Australian fellow was very good in his information about various Norwegian
aspects.
Sorry but not a great night for us after travelling all the way from Australia!

The Aurora cuisine cruise was just okay, I would say. We weren’t very impressed with the food or food selections for the dinner. I was kind of surprised that they served an appetizer and entree, both fish dishes. There were no sides served with the dinner which I also thought was weird; it was just a piece of fish. No northern lights were seen, but we knew that was going to be hit or miss. The boat didn’t travel far enough away from the city lights to really see if the northern lights were present. On the plus side, the staff was very sweet and knowledgeable. Overall, it was just okay.
Dominic_Y, Nov 2024
Staff, Yvan , et. al were very nice & accommodating.
Food was good and lucky to have witnessed the aurora borealis.
Jenni_C, Nov 2024
The cruise was not what I was expecting, we didn’t see the northern lights nor did we sail out far enough to be able to see them. The cruise was smooth ride, the welcome onboard champagne was good. However, would be a better experience, if the champagne or welcome drinks were either unlimited for more than one. The food was great, and the service from the staff was friendly. Francesca, was very sweet and nice.
Jeff_S, Nov 2024
Nice knowledgeable and friendly organisers, however this was supposed to be a dining experience and the food was shocking, starter some cold herring dish, not too bad just a little salty. The main was a piece of very nice cod which was freezing cold dropped into a greasy soup which again was cold, it had the potential to be nice bust needed to be warm and served with some crusty bread or potatoes. The dessert was pleasant - overall very poor value for money
