We had ideal weather for our Electric Northern Lights cruise with Brim Explorer. The sky was clear and the water calm. All the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and the lights put on a good show for us.

A northern lights cruise is a gamble, as you can't 'chase' the lights as well in a slow moving boat, however the gamble paid off and we had an excellent display after initially thinking we would not have much luck due to heavy cloud cover. The soup was delcious!

The ship was having technical difficulties and the crew was diligently working on the issue. Even after an hour, the crew could not fix the issue and gave us an option to get a refund. I chose refund. The problem is if we had been intimated earlier, I would not have made the 30 minute journey to Tromso and wait the same time in the cold to take this tour. It is pretty cold to wait outside in the Tromso weather. From many previous experiences, such problems do not get fixed in time. The organizers of this tour should keep the conveniences of the passengers in mind too. Getting a refund was not worth the effort spent to take this tour.

Brimes promises to refund the money if the weather conditions to see the polar lights are bad. 120 euros paid for a small round under clouds, almost always in the same place, turning in circles and for a soup. The most expensive soup in the world, probably. The probability of seeing auroras was 10% before the tour, just outside Tromsø, and the crew admitted that. They sold plenty of drinks and, with the boat full, made a tidy sum for nothing in two hours. An absolute flop.

After very low chances of being able to see the lights, we went out to a good location and were able to see the northern lights! It was a very pleasant boat ride and our host Tobias did an amazing job! A+++ 100% recommended!!

Good way to wait for the NL only when the prediction is good.

A comfortable way to view the northern lights while you wait in the well heated cabins. Only downside is that the light needs to be out in the sky over the exact route the boat takes, so good to book with the prediction checked. We had a no show. None the less, if u have nothing else for the night you can relax in the boat. We got bored after a while cuz no lights and once it is dark there is nothing to see outside and no entertainment on board either. They serve you a bowl of warm soup.

Nice cruise. Very modern and well maintained. The staff were informative and polite. Too bad it was an extremely clouded night and we couldn't see the lights. It even snowed few hours later

It’s a cruise around Tromso island in a pleasant electric boat. If you want to hunt for the aurora I would recommend a land tour. If you fancy a chilled boat trip the this is for you. I’m sure it’s better if you see the aurora!

I would recommend this activity for those on their first or second day. The crew is very nice and does their best to find the northern lights. In addition the cruise allows you to see the night line. The only negative is that the cruise is so slow that you might be bored you if have been on a northern light hunt or have see the landscapes at night.

The boat was nice and the wifi plus bathrooms on board was convenient. The weather wasn’t look like we would see the northern lights so I wish they would have cancelled it or gave a refund for it. The ride is only 2 hours and I don't feel it is enough time to see the northern lights.

Beautiful scenery, comfortable boat, friendly staff. The ride is around the Tromso Island, I think it is the same each time. There is also a dinner cruise at the same time, the people who bought the dinner cruise sit at tables, and the cruisers-only sit at bar tables lining the windows. The talk was very informative, and I learned a lot about Tromso.

Solo fui a tirar mi dinero, el proveedor de la actividad sabía que no habría opción de ver las luces del norte y aún así no cancelan ni hacen descuento. Estaba lloviendo y tuvimos que esperar en fila al menos 20 minutos y no hubo la cortesía de dejarnos pasar, dieron un copa de bienvenida bien pero la sopa qué ofrecen ea pésima, la actividad fue muy aburrida porque el barco es muy lento y solo escuchar información que ya conocía doblemente aburrido

Schönes ruhiges Boot und angenehme Fahrt ins Dunkel. Suppe und Brot zum leckeren Imbiss inklusive. Tolle wäre noch eine Fotografische Unterstützung an Bord, dass würde es perfekt machen. Freundliche junge Crew mit guter Laune und vielen Informationen.

Magnifique croisière de nuit autour de Tromso ! Le bateau est très confortable et les guides sont supers. À bord, vous pourrez profiter du bar (1 coupe de champagne et 1 soupe incluse dans le prix). Nous avons également eu la chance d’admirer les magnifiques aurores boréales. La croisière dure environ 3h30, ce qui est idéal pour profiter de cette expérience.
