Our tour was so great! We were able to see the lights thankfully, our tour guide Dag was the best! He was really knowledgeable and answered all our questions and told us fun facts on the bus. Would really recommend this tour!

Tour bus was late picking us up, the tour guide did not identify himself as the guide, and was on the phone angrily pacing about trying to find out what was happening. The minibus arrived over 30 mins late. The guide sounded like he was falling asleep while we were driving to the beach location, and eventuallydid fall asleep on the way back, the driver had to wake him when he saw lights the second time. The driver spotted the best light show that we had seen our entire trip. We did a bonfire on the beach which helped us keep warm. Not a lot of photo opportunities with the professional camera.

Luigi is a great guide. He directed us to the island of Ringvassøja to the fjord Dåfjord. Here we enjoyed the Aurora. Luigi made a bonfire where we warmed up and had a picnic.

It was a very nice trip even we didn't see the Northern Lights. Kirstin is a very good guide, she told us a lot about Tromso and she made our trip very enjoyable.

We weren’t able to see any auroras at all even though we drive all the way to the border of Finland. It was too cloudy the day I went. But I heard other tours canceled bc they knew it was cloudy all over. I wish they cancelled our trip instead of just taking driving us for hours. I recommend allowing a couple of days in Tromso to see the northern lights.

Our guides work tirelessly every night, monitoring weather conditions and driving to the best possible locations—even in difficult weather—to maximize the chances of seeing the aurora. In fact, on your tour, our guides and driver went all the way to the Finland border in search of an opening in the clouds.
Unlike some providers who cancel tours at the first sign of clouds, we continue searching for opportunities. While we cannot control the weather, this approach gives our guests the best possible chance to witness this incredible phenomenon. For the highest chance of success, we always recommend a minimum of 3 days in Tromsø.

Eventhough it was cloudy our tour guide took us multiple spots to see the Aura. He was very knowledgeable and was able to help us see it through the clouds.

Worst experience ever. Martin the guide was horrible, basket case. Not a safe journey, got caught on ice on a hill. Had my husband and son try to help push to bus off the ice with no crampons, the bus could have rolled over. Driver was not prepared and did not know the bus had chains nor how to put them on. The bus was seats for 18 and stuffed like sardines in the bus. The guide had everyone get off the bus, called screamed at the company, he lost his cool and it was the worst expeience. Go see the lights but do not use this local tour. Unsafe. The guide left half way through, had the driver let him off and did not speak to us and left us with the inexperienced driver. His name was Martin from Czech. Beware for the worst experience. The food we had to prep, which was cold hotdogs and the fire was so small could not even eat. Or cook on it. No hot liquid and it was sooooo cold and windy. Very very unsafe

Thank you for your feedback. There was ice on the road that evening, and our team followed standard winter procedures. The driver installed the chains and continued safely once traction was secured.
Regarding the food service, our tours include a simple campfire meal prepared outdoors, which is typical for Arctic experiences

I was initially worried because the forecast showed heavy clouds and snow, but our guide was determined to find a clear patch of sky. They drove us further out than expected, and thanks to their expertise, we ended up with a stunning view of the Aurora!
The small group size made a huge difference, it felt more personal and the guide could really look after everyone. It wasn't just a "drive and drop" tour, they genuinely cared about us seeing the lights. If you want a team that goes the extra mile even when the weather isn’t on your side, this is the one. Highly recommended!

The guide was very nice and good. We saw some very beautiful Nothern lights dancing, white, green and pink. They made a pretty bonfire, they even had vegetarian hot dog and hot chocolate. He take some very good pictures.

We had booked the smaller group and more expensive tour, but they moved us to the big bus tour because there wasn’t enough people for the small bus tour. It was still a great experience and they refunded the difference to us. We drove for hours because it was raining and really cloudy. I was convinced that there wouldn’t be any opportunities of seeing the northern lights that night. Then the sky cleared up at midnight and we saw the lights! I’m so glad the tour guide, Martin, didn’t give up. He knew better. I’ve heard from others who went out the same night we did, but they didn’t see the lights. We had also booked the next night just in case. We skipped the 2nd night since we already saw it. We booked them because they pick up at our hotel, the Scandic Grand, which made it very convenient. This is a straight up company. I would book them again.

Our guide, Andreas and Nicolai, doesn’t only know where to find the best spot to view the lights but they definitely know what they are talking about. It does make a huge difference if the guide is locally grown :p). We did a few stops every time we see the lights and then camp at the beach with bonfire, hotdogs and drinks to keep us warm. And best of all, we came home with lots of beautiful souvenir photos. Highly recommend ‘Hello Tromso’.
