This was a beautiful tour around the Toronto islands. The skyline views of Toronto were stunning, the weather was perfect and the crew were entertaining and helped us enjoy the overall experience!

Overview

Enjoy a one-of-a-kind way to tour the Toronto Harbour on this tall-ship boat cruise. Hop aboard your vessel, a three-masted 1930s schooner, and set sail. Help the crew raise the sails or sit back and relax with on-board drinks and bites (additional expense). Enjoy panoramic views over Toronto’s islands and skyline—a view that few other visitors get to see—listen to sea shanties, and marvel as the ship’s cannon is fired.
  • Enjoy a unique perspective of the city from the water's edge
  • Travel in style aboard a vintage vessel with heaps of character
  • Choose from several departure times to suit your schedule
  • Purchase a commemorative photo of your outing, if you like

It is a MUST adventure for anyone, young and old. We took the 7:30 pm tour. The return to Toronto Harbor is absolutely beautiful with the CN Tower light-up and the landscape of the City of Toronto illuminated. I helped with the sails. A nice and fun experience. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great evening full of memories. I bought lovely T-shirts for myself and my friend.

We didn’t actually leave at 7:30pm so that’s something to note if you’re doing this. Otherwise, it was a very lovely cruise. We loved it

Evening Boat Tour

Rose_W, Sep 2026
We had the evening tour and the views were absolutely beautiful near the shore. I recommend this tour.

Good experience!

Romantic evening, good sightseeing, friendly staff, happy that the sails went up and good service at the bar! ☺️

beautiful tall ship tour around Toronto islands

Katrin_L, Aug 2026
Interesting ship, great views of Toronto and the islands, pleasant crew and office staff. We needed to changie our time and had no problems at all 😊. Great Lakes schooner Company emailed to me excellent directions and a great map of their location! This additional information was very important as the information on the Viator site appears to be incorrect. Viator directions brought us to the backside of their office rather than the kiosk for check-in. As mentioned the views were great, and being on the lake was a delight We would’ve welcomed some commentary about what we were seeing in terms of landmarks - however, there was none. Overall, worth the time and resources

Information on sites...

Renee_C, Aug 2026
Information on sites passing would be helpful as in the history of the sites. The sail was relaxing but the food was expensive and lacking.

Just OK cruise

Don_H, Aug 2026
It was a nice 90 minute "sunset" cruise. We boarded at 7:30p. That took about 10 minutes, then sat for 20 minutes before shoving off. By that time, the sun was pretty much down. It was still light, but the sun sank and we didn't get to see it. The crew sang one sea shanty and fired a cannon just once. No real dialogue about the city or history or anything. So just OK by my standards based on other sails. Fortunately, it was a beautiful evening weatherwise

first tall ship ride

Elizabeth_B, Aug 2026
the ride was very smooth but I wish they had added some commentary explaining where we were traveling. Also, I personally wished the third sail had also been hoisted.

Amazing experience

Chloe_S, Aug 2026
Me and my friend went on the 730 tour, which was the last time slot we could get. It was great because you got to see the sunset and then the city skyline all lit up at night. The boat did not leave exactly at 7:30 so we were rushing to get there, but Butt had extra time.

Excellent Views!

James_A, Aug 2026
Excellent views of the city at sunset! The staff on the boat were very friendly. This is a tour that you will want to take if you want to relax and enjoy the views. Food and drinks are available to purchase and there is also a bathroom available on board the ship.

Beautiful view of the city as you tour the harbour. Relaxing boat cruise. Great for all ages in the family.

Beautiful night on the lake.

Leanne_A, Aug 2026
It was a beautiful night on the water. The staff were very friendly. We actually sailed which was nice. We learned about the history of the ship. It was really enjoyable.

Can't Miss Fun

Diane_W, Aug 2026
A fantastically and fun experience. The crew singing the sea shanty was priceless. And I even got a workout by helping to raise the mailsail.

Great way to see the Toronto skyline

Michael_M, Aug 2026
Sunset cruise was overbooked. We were there on time but when we finally boarded, the deck was full and no seating was available. The crew eventually got out some cheap, flimsy plastic chairs meant for children and ran out of those. The website showed 15 people to a cruise but this trip had to have been nearly a hundred people on board. Other than that, the view of the Toronto skyline was impressive.

Passable way to see Toronto waterfront.

Virginia_G, Aug 2026
This was pleasant but not very interesting hour and a half cruise. There was little description of what we were seeing and not much happening on deck. The crew did raise the mainsail and fire the cannon, which was fun. Be aware, if you’re on board on a warm and sunny afternoon, there’s almost no shade and may not even be much of a breeze. There were some beautiful views of the CN Tower and Toronto skyline.

Not Long Enough but still lots of Fun and Enjoyable

Brett_R, Aug 2026
Was a great time but wished the boat would have went around the Islands and been longer. The music is a bit loud where we sat and next time we will sit farther away from the speakers.

Ann_M, Aug 2026
Lovely experience despite less than ideal weather. The crew were all very helpful and encouraged passengers to help raise the sail. The singing of a sea shanty was a highlight.

Nice to do

JorgeEmmanuel_G, Aug 2026
Amazing views of Toronto, great for pictures and selfies. The kiosk for the tickets is at the coast.

Beautiful Day on the Tsll Ship Kajama!

Sunset Cruise

Renee_J, Jul 2026
It was a great experience. We did the 730 sunset cruise and it was beautiful overlooking the Toronto skyline at night. You arrive at 730 and sail at 8pm. It took an hour and half and it was an experience watching them dock, putting the sails up, and making everyone feel welcome. The team was great and friendly.

Awesome Skyline Views

James_T, Jul 2026
We really enjoyed this cruise. We chose the last cruise of the evening and were treated to some amazing views of the downtown skyline as the sun set. The staff were all friendly and professional. The voucher purchased through Viator must be presented to the ticket booth for actual boarding passes so plan to get there early. This is a really popular tour that fills quickly so plan to arrive early to ensure you have a seat onboard. I would recommend this tour to others.

10/10! We absolutely loved it. A peaceful and romantic experience with stunning views and a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended for couples and anyone looking for a relaxing evening on the water.

Disappointed

Lee_O, Jul 2026
This was a 60 minute, diesel powered boat ride, not a sail and there was no narration about the area. The history of the ship was interesting but that was all. One sea shanty and a $7 cup of (bad) coffee. Lastly, $30 to park. I have been on other ships for an experience as describe for the Kajama where we were actually under sail and working the decks. This did not happen yesterday. It was very disappointing and expensive. But the weather was nice.

A lovely relaxing boat trip

Stephen_J, Jul 2026
What a wonderful way to spend 90minutes sailing around Toronto bay, friendly staff who weren’t overly pushy in upselling bits and bobs, just a relaxing boat trip.

Sail around Toronto harbor.

Gary_S, Jul 2026
Nice sail trip, got involved in raising the sails, I would say that if narration would by added it would make the trip 5 stars

Very nice

Farid_A, Jul 2026
Very nice and calming, recommend not having too many people as no place to sit. It would be nice for a 2 min talk to skyline or any historic elements

Nice Trip.

This was a very pleasant boat ride with available food and refreshments. Great views of the city skyline and it was fun helping hoist the sails! Very friendly staff, and they even sang us a sea shanty!
