We booked a tour from Toronto to Niagara Falls for 3 persons as a SMALL GROUP TOUR with Lunch option in a van of no more that 7 individuals.. A small coach picked up up at the hotel as listed then DROPPED US at the airport to join a 50+ passenger bus for the tour. We specifically booked the SMALL GROUP because one of our group has mobility issues and we DID NOT want to get LOST in the crowd , slow down a large group or be left behind. The ad for this tour stated it was not wheelchair accessible and we clarified that it was "Standing Walker: accessible. (The walker was dumped into underbelly storage and not secured. We could hear it banging around the compartment during the entire trip at turns and stops.)
At the stop in Niagara for the water ride near the falls the entire group of 43 individuals was given a quick here are your tickets for "boat ride" and for those having lunch meet at "pointed to a restaurant" at "specific time" & then the driver VANISHED.
It was only after the boat ride and speaking with another driver (from the same tour company) that it was clarified just where the restaurant was. The RESCUE DRIVER had a small group out on the boat ride (he checked both the time & his schedule to insure he would not miss his group) and provided transportation for us to the restaurant. It was across a busy tourist car & bus filled street, uphill and about 3 blocks away. Our member with limited stamina for walking could not have made the it without his assistance.
I chose to not do a review until after our travels ended and we've returned home. Yes, Niagara Falls was amazing but the experience getting there was NOT AS ADVERTISED -
I feel we should be refunded at least 50% of the $558.39 fee we paid. Nancy N-K

This was not a small group as we expected. More importantly the van was old and in dire need of shock absorber . We really bounced around. We should get part refund for the discomfort, or we are unable to use via tot again! Driver and tour were fine!

BAD comunicacion from the website (local provider makes looks bad you company -Viator-to update the customer time 4 pick up. So at the last minute they cancelled because of low capacity.
After a long conversation with Viator they make me a refund, but your options were null since you got the time reduced to do it in another moment.
Thanks to the hotel who helped us to do our Niagara falls an unique experience...

The falls are breathtaking and the boat ride was a highlight. It was nice to see the whirlpool also. The view at lunch was amazing and lunch was really good.

First, the positive part of the day—the Falls! The boat ride was spectacular! We loved it! But that was the only great part of the day.
So I will list the description from the Viator event and then describe the reality.
1. Pickup and drop off from your local hotel. No, this did not happen. I reserved the tour for pickup from our hotel in Missassagua. The night before, they send me a message that I need to now spend another $80 to drive 40 minutes into Toronto to meet the bus. I push back and they agree we can meet at the airport. Still an additional $20 Uber since we don’t have a car.
2. Air conditioned bus with free WiFi. No and no. The bus was sweltering without AC. The 1.5 hour ride to and from the falls was miserable!
3. A tour guide was described in the reviews and in the description for this event. No. Just a bus driver who mumbled intelligible phrases into a loud speaker occasionally. Same bus driver who failed to meet us before lunch, leaving us to try and find the restaurant on our own.
4. Stop at a winery with complimentary tasting. No and no. This is one of the reasons we booked this tour in the first place! When I asked the bus driver why no winery he gave me a funny look and said, oh we don’t do that anymore!
So the tour has changed but Viator has not updated their listing. They probably won’t even publish this review. So if you made it to the end of this review, thanks, but don’t trust the listing. Call the tour operator because there may be more listings that are out of date.

Our group guide, Johnny, was excellent-- fluent in about a zillion languages, really knew the area and the culture, and had so much great information to share with us. He made the day really special.
The buffet luncheon wasn't the best value for the price, but you're paying for the gorgeous view as well as the convenience, so factor that in as you plan your purchases. There wasn't anything "wrong" with it per se... like, the food quality was just fine, but at that price point it should be better than "just fine".
The boat tour itself is fantastic, although I would have liked it to be longer (I don't believe it is an option at all). It's very cool to get that close to the Falls. Definitely a great experience.

Our group of eight highly recommends this tour provided by Zoom Tours. From the very beginning, the experience was positive. The reservation was easily made through Viator & was reconfirmed the day before. Our guide/driver, Dwayne, was excellent! He picked us up at our hotel in a Mercedes Sprinter which was clean & comfortable. He was prompt, professional, courteous & informative. Kudos to him!
The day trip (~8.5 hrs) was very good. Lots to learn, experience & see. There was time to walk around & capture the beauty of the Falls. The boat ride was exhilarating & a must do! The lunch afterwards had plenty of variety but was just so-so. On the way back to our hotel, we stopped at a quaint town, Niagara on the Lake.
We highly recommend Zoom Tours to others.

Hi Niagra itself was amazing - however this tour info says u stop at Brocks monument and we didn’t - it also says that you visit an award winning winery and taste the famous ice wine again we didn’t - honestly we were disappointed.

Don’t waste your money on lunch. The buffet lunch turned out to be the hotels buffet breakfast that hadn’t yet been cleared for lunch. Absolutely vile as it has clearly been lying out for hours

We started out with our guide Fabio, who was totally great. He explained everything along the way, pointing various sites . We stopped along the way to pick passengers at various points, he greeted everyone. When we got to Niagra Falls the tour started. We did not have to wait in the long lines. The behind the falls was great. the Boat Tour was fabulous. We got pretty wet, saw all the falls. Had a great lunch. We continued with the rest of the tour with different stops at long the, great. We both agreed that Fabio made this tour very enjoyable. Would totally recommend this tour.

Tour as such is nice if only one day available, comprises nice attractions along the way. Logistics were very poor though: I have been confirmed by phone, when I did the reservation, that my hotel is on the pick-up list, then after reservation I received an email that in fact they will NOT pick me up, so I had to pay another half of the Viator tour value on taxis I was near airport. I have been picked from the airport which was somehow in our way to come back, but when returned the driver took us through hole Toronto to drop the other guests, several hotels, I was 3,5 h in the car !, whereas they could have dropped us in the airport on the way to city. Was a nonsense to pass by the airport and to go to city then back to the airport - he said is close to his last destination. I asked a receipt for lunch...I was confirmed, never seen it.

Although Patrick the guide and driver was great, the logistics of picking up clients, and the vehicles were not up to an acceptable level.
First, we were notified the night before that our morning scheduled tour was overbooked and we would have to change to afternoon. then after getting picked up, it took over 1.5 hours to pick up remaining passengers. The min bus air conditioning did not work and the windows did not open. We had to go to the airport and pick up another bus - We were picked up at 1- finally left from airport to the Falls around 3 pm. Did not get to Falls until 5! got back to hotel around 11 pm. Very displeased. Would not recommend.

Niagara itself was breathtaking but I cannot recommend the tour operator. The lady was continoutly speeding while having alarm signs of low oil and not functional breaking lights. I did not feel well during the rides. She was however very informative and it was not her mistake that they forgot we also booked and payed for the Skylon tower resulting in all other participants having to wait for us at the end.
PS: Bottle of water is mentioned twice on voucher which we got none at all as was the listed souvenir.

RUN AWAY! I had booked my excursion on the phone to be sure I had a Francophone guide, I had oral confirmation and then written but we had an Anglophone guide (without even being informed). In addition, the excursion was cancelled the day before, then rescheduled that morning! When I applied for compensation, Viator refused on the ground that it was the claimant who was responsible, whereas it was Viator who had contractually committed to provide me with a defined benefit and was liable for compensation. After several reminder emails, Viator didn't even deign to reply.. Irresponsible, disrespectful and contemptuous of its customers, Viator is the worst travel organization I have ever had to deal with!
