Overview

Check the times for the length of the queue. We went at 2:00pm and there was only a 5 min wait. Great view over Tokyo.

We went on a not particularly busy day and the views are absolutely unbelievable. The visit is an experiencing itself as there are lots of street food stations on the fourth floor and very much a carnival type atmosphere.
We enjoyed it immensely the only thing to watch out for is that all the food stores on the fourth floor are cash only.

The tour is generally split into two levels: the Main Deck (150m) and the Top Deck (250m). If you have the time, the Top Deck Tour is worth the upgrade for the smoother, guided experience.

Booking tickets for the Tokyo Skytree through Viator turned out to be an incredibly frustrating experience. Entry to the Skytree requires a QR code, and although I had proof of purchase for four tickets for my family, this was not accepted at the entrance.
I made multiple attempts to retrieve the QR code through Viator, but nothing worked. I reached out through their messaging and chat support, but the assistance was minimal and ineffective. Meanwhile, our designated time slot was quickly slipping away, and it became clear that we might miss the experience entirely—despite having already paid.
Eventually, Viator sent the QR code, but it arrived well after our scheduled entry time. I pleaded with the staff on-site, explaining that the delay was not our fault and that Viator had failed to provide the required QR code in time. It was an extremely stressful and disappointing situation that could have easily been avoided with proper support and timely communication.

Amazing views of Tokyo. The whole experience was very well done and the views were unmatched. We went at sunset and saw it transform to night, highly recommend.

Expect extremely long wait times for both entry and exit, especially when lifts are out of operation. (I.e. 2 out of 4 lifts not operating results in 40 minute waits when assessing and even longer when descending from the upper levels.) Really spoils the whole experience when you spend more time queuing than viewing.

I really enjoyed the Tokyo Sky Tree. Not only do you get a fantastic view at the top but they have a lot of cool food, clothing, and souvenir shops on the first few floors. For the extra few dollars I do recommend going up to the upper viewing platform as well.

The view is breath taking. I suggest to purchase the combo ticket and try the glass floor. If you purchase a drink at skycafe, they will give you a 5% off coupon for skytree store purchase at 5F.

Recommend doing at night, awesome views of the city, river and surrounds, very friendly and helpful staff.
Note, takes about 30min to get up, and 30 min to get down as a minimum owing to crowds.

Riding the lightning-fast elevator up Tokyo Skytree was an experience in itself — soaring 350 meters in just 55 seconds! The views from the top were absolutely breathtaking, and we were lucky enough to catch a misty glimpse of Mount Fuji, which made the moment even more special.
An iconic Tokyo experience and well worth the visit!

This activity was definitely overrated. It was nice but the lines were way too long to get on the elevator. It was very crowded but it was something I will never do again. I really enjoyed walking around the mall and eating the food. My kids were looking forward to ice skating but we were tied it wouldn't be available until December. They were bummed. If this activity is on your bucket list, I would go to juat cross it off as went. The tickets were reasonably priced.

A little bit crazy busy but to be honest we were up and down within 1 hour.

Definitely a great activity to participate in and reasonably priced. Lots of options on souvenirs and a great experience you won’t forget. Very clean, beautiful and well organized. Even a Mom and baby bathroom. It was definitely a WOW factor!!!

Interesting visit but I emailed Viator to ask if I could delay a bit ( my wife felt unwell and needed to defer ) but I didn’t hear back so went on alone, payment forfeited I assume!
A bit disappointing as on the Viator booking site there is a contact us button.
