Golden Gai and the bars...

Golden Gai and the bars themselves were very cool and fun to see, but our guide Yoko was very quiet and disinterested. While it was very convenient to have someone with us who could translate, he made it feel more awkward to have him there than not. The friendly locals at the bars gave us more information about Golden Gai than our guide did. He did admit that it was only his second time giving a tour so I hope that he gets a better with more practice.
