We were not very happy...

We were not very happy with the driver. He drove recklessly and was speeding, he was stopped by the police and when he stopped he told us to let the police know we were friends and not tourists. We did not like this. We only visited the Snow Monkeys - as that was our main priority, it was snowing and it took us a long time to climb up to see the monkeys. His car was not good and could not go up to the top carparks, so we had to walk up the hill to the base. Also - i booked this tour based on the excellent reviews of good tour guides who gave a commentary of the snow monkeys and shared their knowledge and that they drove up to the top carpark so the participants didnt need to walk too far. This was not the case for us - he did not give any commentary and was on his phone most of the time talking to someone throughout the drive from Tokyo to Nagano. This was all very upsetting for us as tourists. He then also told us that the company was new and this was the first trip to Nagano to see the snow monkeys which was not what was stated on the reviews! So understandably we were not happy.

The fact that you were put in an uncomfortable situation with the police, had to walk further than expected due to vehicle limitations, and did not receive the informative commentary you were looking forward to is unacceptable. We understand how disappointing and frustrating this must have been, especially after booking the tour based on positive reviews. Please know that we take your feedback very seriously. We will be addressing this issue with the driver and the company to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.
