Unforgetable Memories & Experience!

Seema_R, Apr 2026
We were very keen to see Art & Architecture in Tokyo. We had given an outline on the places/spaces we would like to see. And what we got to see with our very able & informative guide Yuki, was phenomenal. In the prescribed duration of 3.5 hours, she took us through amazing buildings, explained the various design aspects. , pointed out elements of design and also took us to an out of the world Art Gallery and a very quaint cafe at the end of the tour. It was curated so well that it felt like Yuki shared the same passion that we do for Architecture. We were satisfied 100%. Much gratitude to Yuki for making this tour a memorable one for us!

Professional and well prepared tour!

KAILIANG_T, Jan 2026
My experience with Yoshi was nothing short of FANTASTIC! I admire the preparation and professionalism he has and also the tons of documented photos he had for each architect showcased during the tour. The dedication to detail made me appreciate the tour even more. I also had a great time chatting with him during our break and our walk along Omotesando. I would gladly recommend for first-time visitors interested in architecture within Harajuku and Omotesando!

Marvellous modern architecture.

My partner and I like to start any trip with a walking tour to get our bearings and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with Taka. We learned so much about architecture and development in Tokyo as well as the famous architects and designers that have left their mark on Harajuku. I highly recommend this tour, particularly for those interested in getting a bit more context on the built environment.

Had an AMAZING experience!

Elizabeth_M, Aug 2025
Had an AMAZING experience! Our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the local buildings and architects. She adjusted the tour to things we were most interested in and also increased the length of the indoor parts of the tour because it was so hot outside. I would highly recommend this if you’re interested in architecture/design/local culture!

Fantastic

A lot of walking (in a good way!), a wonderful slice of the community and culture. Our guide, Aki, was knowledgeable and patient, great experience!

An excellent tour

Both guides were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the tour tremendously. We viewed and went inside several fascinating buildings

Best guide in Tokyo!

Jill_E, Nov 2024
Our guide was so professional and knowledgable! She came prepared with a notebook of photos of the various buildings that she showed us, photos of the architects and other of their projects, and a passion for architecture that was infectious! She has obviously made a study of architecture and her enthusiasm was evident. Her english was excellent as well, which made it easy for us!

Great tour for anyone interested in architecture

William_M, Jul 2024
Yoshi was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. He had great pictures and information ready. He knew every detail of the construction and architecture we looked at.

Modern Architecture Tour

Marie_Q, Jun 2024
Omotesando, often referred to as Tokyo’s Champs-Élysées, is renowned for its stunning architecture, high-end boutiques, and sophisticated atmosphere. Our family recently embarked with our guide Mari on an architecture tour of this stylish district, and it proved to be a delightful and educational experience for everyone. Mari made the architecture tour of Omotesando an enriching experience that offered a blend of high-end modern design and thoughtful traditional elements. Each building we visited had its unique charm, making the tour engaging for both adults and our teenage children. The district’s mix of cultural and commercial spaces ensured that there was something for everyone. Mari allowed us to enter shops that we found interesting and offered us advised on nearby areas that we would enjoy. We highly recommend this tour for families looking to explore Tokyo’s architectural gems in a vibrant and sophisticated setting.

An Outstanding Tour of Modern Architectural Buildings

Arlene_S, May 2024
Within a short distance on Omotesando and Miyuji Avenues, there are awesome buildings by five Pritzker prize winners. My tour was with Taka, a retired architect, who showed me on his I-pad photos of the architects, background info, floor plans as well as where to stand to get the best photos. We began with an icon, Kenzo Tange’s National Yoyogi Gymnasium. Then we walked down the street to see Akinisa Hirata’s Tokyo Plaza Harakado with the planted rooftop vertical garden. Next, we visited inside and outside the convex and concave glass of the Prada store by Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron’s. Finally, Tadao Ando’s Collezione with half the building being underground. There were numerous other amazing buildings. I was very impressed with this tour and recommend it highly.

Great tour and Guide!!

Wow! Do not miss this Architecture walking tour with Eriko!! We could have spent the whole day with her - so interesting, very engaging, a great sense of humor and professional. We would highly recommend Eriko and the tour

Enjoyed our private walking tour very much. We saw a wide variety of interesting architecture and our guide was excellent. Her English was perfect and she was very lovely to be with.

A great walk through Harajuku and Omotesando, looking at both exterior and interior spaces. Aki was able to tailor the tour to our specific preferences and guide us through the neighborhoods.

We had a wonderful tour with our guide, Aki! He was extremely knowledgeable about the architecture in the area, telling us more about the designers of several buildings and relating it to other sites we’ll see later on our trip. Would highly recommend!

Hidden corners!

Santiago_P, Apr 2023
Loved Omotesando and our guided tour brought us to some hidden corners we otherwise would’ve not discovered. Great opportunity for architecture lovers and enthusiasts.

Yoko, my guide, was well...

Whit_A, Apr 2023
Yoko, my guide, was well versed in the field of design and explained differences in the architectural design, how they evolved over time, etc. All the things I was hoping to hear. Explored a little of historical features but spent time on how the Harajuku area grew since the 60s up to present architectural influences. Very much what I was looking for and I would highly recommend.

A must take tour!

Lisa_S, Dec 2022
My sister (who is an architect) and I just took this wonderful tour with Aki. We were impressed by his breadth of knowledge. We meandered through areas of the city that we never would have found ourselves. We were surprised that there were so many architectural gems within this walking tour. We recommend taking this tour 100%! And if you are lucky, you will get Aki too!

Best Architectural Tour in Tokyo !!!

Daniel_K, Dec 2022
Very very happy that we had joined this Architectural Tour and Yoshi is very knowledgeable & attentive to our questions. Highly recommended !

Great intro to Japan

Marcia_H, Jul 2018
This was the first tour we took on our visit to Japan and it really helped orient us to the history, culture and etiquette. As a private tour, our guide, Junko, welcomed our little detours for things we were interested in. She tailored her explanations to our level of knowledge and interest in architecture very well. It felt like a very knowledgeable friend showing us around. Junko went above and beyond by helping us navigate the subway to our next destination. Junko was an excellent guide and and very nice person. I highly recommend this.

This was an excellent tour. Concentrating on architecture and our guide knew the sites to point out. Even taking us off the beaten paths to see architecture that a visitor would not to see without a knowledgeable guide. We saw many special-different and unique Tokyo buildings, houses, businesses, etc. Being an architect I really enjoyed this tour. Again I can's say enough good things about the guide. He was a gracious and knowledgeable gentleman. Next time I am in Tokyo I will want him as my guide on another tour!

Een mooie ervaring met een perfecte gids

Frank_T, Oct 2024
Yoko spreekt heel erg goed Engels.
