Booked this for Dad, Uncle, and 13-yo son. Driver picked them up in Lexus LS. They drove briskly but safely 45 mins outside the city to a meetup area. He was very engaging and spoke excellent English. He was knowledgeable about the cars and the area. He then took us to another smaller meetup area and spent some time there. Finally, we went to a car enthusiasts store where there was an opportunity to purchase some things. Overall, it was a good experience but was overpriced ($196/pp) for what it was.

Mori was a fantastic guide. He is very knowledgeable about JDM car culture and was patient in explaining it to us (beginner level). For car enthusiasts, this is especially worth a look! He also gave us a drive by tour of Tokyo on our way out and back from the car meets. Very accommodating and friendly!

Michael and his crew are very knowledgeable and accommodating. We went as family (wife+kids) while visiting Tokyo, there was a little something for everyone. Experience is a great, low stress way to experience a slice of JDM culture.

Michael was amazing during our tour. He is extremely knowledgeable about cars and car culture. He was able to share some of his story with us which is truly appreciated. The best part is that he still got us safely to each stop and back in the first snowfall of the season in Tokyo!
Dan_W, Dec 2025
Experience was great. Went to a number of spots not just daikoku and Kareem was very passionate about jdm and cars. As it on a subday morning it ticked all the boxes for me

Misiu.JDMX goes above and beyond in their tours making it a memorable experience! Including stopping at the infamous Daikoku Parking, we also stopped at A-PIT Autobacs and Tatsumi Parking which other tours dont generally offer! Mori was a fantastic host who was friendly and very knowledgable in both car and japan culture which made the experience even better! I recommend this tour if you are a car enthusiast or you want to experience the Tokyo car scene!
Thank you again Misiu.JDMX and Mori for making the tour a memorable part of our trip!

Tho_H, Nov 2025
Michael was very informative and nice. My son and I enjoyed the tour. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
We always strive to pack you to the brim with a lot of visuals and information about the JDM culture, and the much wider Japanese Car Culture. Yes, in Japan it is not only JDM, it is also European and American cars that come out. I am glad you and your son enjoyed it :)
Annie_N, Nov 2025
We booked this last minute! Mike was able to accommodate our group of 10. Mike & Rikki were super personable and professional. We enjoyed it.
Response from Host, Dec 2025

Courtney_T, Nov 2025
Overall this was a positive experience. My husband really enjoyed all the stops we made, including Daikoku, and seeing all the JDM cars. The couple of things we wish would've been different were our vehicle selection, the tour itself, and the overall price for what we got. After all was said and done, we wish we would've taken the van option. The sedan wasn't anything special. As far as the tour was concerned, it felt more like we were hanging out with Michael, who was nice and passionate about cars, but not very informative about maybe the history and culture around JDM in Yokohama. The overall price we paid for our experience seemed a bit excessive. If you appreciate a more hands-off experience, Michael's your guy, but if you want something a little more informative, then maybe look for something else.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
I am super happy that your husband enjoyed the evening and saddened that you did not share his joy. We will look into how to make it a little more exiting for those that are not into cars.
In response to a few points made here, yes, absolutely, the intent is to feel like you are hanging out with car enthusiasts, talking cars, history, and the scene. We encourage you to ask more questions if our car conversations are not engaging enough. we definitely do not want to be a tour, with pre-recoded history information, following a flag type activity. That is not what we are about. We are about the passion for cars :)
As to our cars, we carefully select cars that have the performance and style that are appreciated by enthusiasts and fit our esthetic. We avoid stickers that add HP and wings attached for no reason. We value class, HP, and the looks.

It was a really fun experience. They picked us up in Shibuya just a few blocks away from the Crossing. The group was taken to a few spots, A-Pit Autobacs parts store where we saw some really nice vehicles. Then we went to Daikoku Parking Area. One of the most famous car meeting areas. If not the most famous talked about meeting place. There were all sorts of vehicles. JDM, German, and even a few rarely seen in Japan American cars. We spent an hour to an hour and a half there so we got to get a good feel for what it would be like to be able to hangout there on a regular basis. From Daikoku we then went on to another smaller parking area but still popular for cars to stop at Tatsumi Parking Area. Since it was a bit rainy we didn't stay very long. But Michael our Driver/Guide. Took us on a cool drive on the C1 Highway Loop. It's the highway that most of the "racers" drove. It gives a nice and different view of Tokyo. That being at night and from the Highway. A view most of the tourists won't see from the train. Michael was a great host who told us of the history and some other good trivia for the area and what we were seeing. Michael did drop off everyone back in Shibuya and then since I was staying in Yokohama he dropped me off close to my hotel, as it was close to their home base. This was a fun experience. A different view of Tokyo that you don't get to see during the day or from the many Subways and Trains.
So if you are into cars and even just want a different fun experience while in Japan. Please book this tour.
Thanks To Michael I had a great time. And I'll probably see you again on one of my next trips.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
No word can describe how happy I feel to read your review. It really encapsulates the evening well and proves to us, once again, that we did something right :)
As an aside, the 3-star review immediatelybeforethis one shows how expectations and the knowledge of the car scene, here in Japan, can affect your judgement. Keep an open mins and enjoy!
Thank you again and hope to see you back!
Shonta_A, Oct 2025
I expected something more. Tour guide was cool, and knowledgeable, but the tour could have been more interesting. We did see a couple of great cars, but I expected to see more cars and maybe we didn’t due to the weather.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
We are saddened that the trip did not meet your expectations. It occasionally happens when we have clients whose expectations of the Japanese Car Scene are based on Hollywood movies and social media. While these locations and the culture was the basis for inspiring the movies, the reality is much more chill and relaxed, with lots of car enthusiasts enjoying their rides and rides of others.
The weather, while not the best, did not impact the evening and one has only to look at the review that follow which is from a client on the same night, in the same car, with the same host.
Katie_C, Oct 2025
We had a great time during this experience. Michael was an awesome host and was obviously very passionate about cars and this tour. The meets will differ from night to night but we were able to see a lot of cool cars. Would recommend to any car enthusiasts!
Response from Host, Nov 2025
