Great day out

A must do tour if you’re in Seville. Ronda is a pretty little town with breathtaking scenery. The enjoyment of the tour was compounded by our guide Miguel. He was knowledgeable about the town itself, the region and Spanish history in general. The white villages were the icing on the cake. Gracias Miguel for a wonderful tour!!

A perfect guide to show the towns wonders

Our guide !Miguel! Was professional, he has excellent knowledge and most important he understood our preferences during the long but very productive tour. Ronda and Setenil are two towns that everybody should visit , those towns and the tour visits are amazing natural wonders , our guide Miguel presented to us all the steps of their history.

First impressions are lasting ---- when my husband and I were loaded into a filthy beat up and smelly van, it was disgusting, no other way to describe it - it was uncomfortable and very noisy so even if our guide wanted to educate us on the areas we were driving through we couldn't hear a word he was saying over the rattle of his dilapidated van. Luis was a very nice guy - but he was short on providing the historic highlights of Ronda. We toured the Bull Ring on our own -thank goodness for the audio guide and we were left to explore the bath area of Ronda alone -there was an informative movie that provided a history of the creation of the baths in Ronda. The guide, a Seville native did not time our lunch experience well ( he knew when folks in Ronda take lunch) and he walked us into a situation where there was no availability ANYWHERE for lunch. We did end up in a little spot that took close to an hour to get food served - I mention this because we expected our guide to create the experience so we could enjoy it. And let me be clear - Ronda on it's own merit is a must see- it is a masterpiece of structure that is utterly gorgeous - and we are glad we were able to go there. Again, our guide , is s great guy, however we would have enjoyed more content on the history of the beautiful Ronda.

Hello Susan We agree as the van we used that day was inapropiated (we were in high season and had to manage when our second van had a problem at the last minute). Therefore we are not using that van anymore. We were in a banks holidays in Christmas so sometimes it is not easy to get served quickly. We had a marvelous day and personally I enjoyed the trip with you and discovering Setenil together. I hope we can meet again, un saludo

Great tour but not what we reserved

The tour guide was awesome however this is not the tour I paid for. It did not include the tickets to choose in Ronda neither did it include a stop in Sentinel De La Bodega. Was charged 3 times more than the actual cost of this tour which we we told is $79 and instead I paid $249 for 2 people. Asking for partial refund to compensate the difference

Failed expectations

PROS: we had a skilful driver to ride us through the mountain serpentine CONS: 1. Absolutely outstanding - the meeting point was set at an 'unknown' place with NO sign of the tour, at the house number that looked like being ready for demolition and nobody around recalled any excursion from this place. We looked up for this place for 30 min. We believe that since Viator officially provides such remote meeting place, Viator is due to make all necessary arrangements. 2. The driver was a good guy and he could connect a couple words in English, yes, but we expected real historical stories. 3. In Ronda, he offered 2-3 places to visit. I know that Viator offers similar tour with 4 stops (including White Villages) for 1.5 less money and we'd selected this tour because of offered ~17 stops. Provided service was inadequate to the cost paid. Again, Viator should instruct the guide which tours he/she has to provide. 4. To be fair, In Ronda, the guide proposed a very interesting local Christian Church as an alternative to visiting a tunnel with a very long 'ledger' (which was in the programme).

Such a filthy car!!!

I was so grossed out by the filthy car I almost just walked away. The outside looked awful but inside was worse, with dirt and left over debris all over the floors. The seats at least were better. The ride was extremely bumpy because the car wasn't maintained. The guide was really more just a driver. He did little to explain the towns and his English was really rough. . .he tried to find different expressions when we didn't understand. . . he was nice enough, certainly, and really tried to be helpful for the most part. It was pouring rain all day, and though he had two umbrellas in the car, he didn't seem to realize it until halfway through the tour. . .even telling us at one point he was sorry but he didn't have umbrellas. His personal appearance was very shabby with pants ripped in the seat in the back (not in a good way like the ripped jeans everyone pays for now); he wasn't neat and clean as were all other guides we had. I can't believe Viator interviewed him, saw this car and accepted him and the car to represent their company. We had two other Viator tours on our trip and both were wonderful. Frankly, I feel we deserve our money back for this trip.
