Brilliant experience!

What a brilliant way to soak in Seville’s culture in a relaxing and fun way! I was so lucky to be able to do this workshop with Ale the store manager. She was so patient and fun to chat to. I had the best time, it was a birthday workshop gift to me 😉 i wished I could buy more espadrilles but had only a backpack for the plane back. I left there with the cutest selfmade espadrilles!

We had an excellent time. Ale was a great teacher and helped us to customise our espadrilles as well as giving us the historical background to these iconic shoes. It was great to see all the products in the shop afterwards and watch the experts customise shoes for clients. It was my friend’s birthday so Ale and her helpers made the event extra special.

This was a fantastic experience all around. I loved getting to know and learn a little more of the culture of Spain and how this part came to be. The making of the shoe had a few snags but went smoothly with a little help. Making the shoe wasn't difficult for me but I come from a DIY background.

Really fun experience with family and friends, with an activity that is also our favorite souvenir from our trip. I also ended up buying other handmade shoes while I was there, which are great quality and price. The area the shop is in is also a lot of fun for browsing and eating so get there early and walk around.

My sister and I did this workshop and it was so fun! A very unique tourist experience in a lovely setting. Learn about the history and meaning of espadrilles and make a pair of your very own espadrilles. Then learn about the different ways to tie and wear your new shoes. The shopkeepers, Luis and Kate from Hand Made were so warm and friendly. They were also very knowledgeable on the gothic quarter area of Barcelona. I highly recommend this workshop to everyone (except families with very young children).

Expérience sympathique de personnalisation d'espadrilles grâce à Sono et Sonia. Mais le rapport qualité prix est très mauvais et le titre de l'expérience est trompeur. Il ne s'agit pas de confection mais de l'ajout l'un ruban sur des espadrilles vendues à 10e au sein même de la boutique. 70e par personne est démesurément excessif et nous ne recommandons pas cette expérience qui fait attrape touriste vu le prix pratiqué.

The experience is more about learning the local culture, having fun with visitors and locals mixed together, the cava and churros served, and therefore is more of a memorable experience, not with the intention of building a very high quality shoe, because that takes a professional. If what you had in mind was a very elaborated Espadrille we could’ve made it for you for only 39,90€, no need for the whole 2h experience. If you feel that you prefer a quality shoe rather than the ones you built yourself please answer to our messages or come to the shop and we will give you an exchange for a shoe made by our professional artisans :) We want you to be happy with your espadrilles, as more than 20,000 guests are so far, including critics from Buzzfeed, New York Times, Beteve, and others.
