Overview

Trek to the top of Morro Dois Irmãos (Two Brothers Hill) and visit the Vidigal Favela on this nature and educational tour in Rio. Follow your local guide to the top of the trail leading to the highest of the two hills for spectacular views of Rio splayed out below. This round-trip hike takes about 2 hours and is moderately difficult. On the way down, walk through Vidigal favela. Interact with the local residents and see how life operates in this neighborhood. Really enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. Started with our guide (Ellio) treating us to drinks followed by an exhilarating moto taxi ride to the start of the trail.The views during the hike and from the top of Morro Dois Irmãos were outstanding and then we finished with a walking tour of the favela. Ellio was a great guide - very knowledgeable and passionate about the local area

Great experience hiking Morro dois Irmãos

This was a great experience. We were picked up at our hotel in Copacabana and met up with our guide, Hélio, in the Vidigal Favela. Hélio took care of the communication with the locals and the transportation on mopeds up to the start of the trail, and guided us through the whole hike. We also got a walk through the Vidigal Favela after the hike. Fun experience. Highly recommend!

Une vue sublime sur Rio et l’occasion d’entrevoir la vie d’une Favela. La randonnée n’est pas trop longue ni trop difficile mais il faut tout de même prévoir des baskets pour être à l’aise et ne pas glisser.

Leo excelente guía. Es una caminata moderadamente difícil. No olviden ropa deportiva y mucha agua. Tiene 6 vistas espectaculares y muy bonitas para tomar fotos y admirar cada parte de río de Janeiro. Leo resolvía todas nuestras dudas. Adicional conocimos la favela de vidigal con más de 40 mil habitantes conoces un poquito de su vida cotidiana. Sin duda lo recomiendo mucho. Excelente tour
