Memorable Experience at Arouca Geopark

When the plan is to cover over 225km of beautiful nature, you want to be in good hands and bring in some passionate expertise. Daniel did exactly that and a lot more. Daniel picked us up from our place on time. He is extremely kind, very courteous and full of unique experience that he was extremely willing to share. We started our day off with some delicious breakfast at O Rei Dos Croissants and then headed to Praia Da Lomba - a river beach by Douro River. The place is a quiet and scenic location and had many families enjoying a quiet Sunday picnic. From here Daniel took us for a scrumptious Lunch at Casa No Campo - the location itself seems like a dream and the food was excellent. Daniel provided us with the good recommendations of food - we had the cod fish that was served in an artisan carved out bread, a local steak dish and sausage rice. Next, we headed to the 516 Arouca Suspension Bridge, followed by the approx 9 km walk on the Paiva Walkway. The experience was breathtaking but also tiring. Daniel waited for us on the other side, and was prepared with fruits, cold water and snacks which was just the thing we needed to rejuvenate us. Our trip concluded with a comfortable ride back to our accomadation. We are extremely grateful to Daniel for making this trip truly memorable for us.
