- Note: Visits at the wineries and river cruise are not fully private and are open to external participants.

What a phenomenal trip! The stunning beauty of the Douro Valley is breathtaking! Our guide , Pedro, went above and beyond to make this an experience of a lifetime ! He was engaging , knowledgeable and accommodating! I would recommend this private tour to anyone! Being a small group we were able to go leisurely, did not feel rushed, and the small things Pedro did to accommodate our day were beyond measure !! Thank you Pedro for making this trip so special !

Marina was an excellent tour guide. The douro valley is beautiful. She took us to a small family winery for a tour and tasting, which was lovely. It was so peaceful up there looking out over the Duoro Valley. We then went to a small local restaurant for a family style lunch, which was really good. We made a qucik detour to taste local ports because my husband liked those. All in all, it was a great day. very well planned and fun!

Our guide. Diane was wonderful. We were transported in a very confortable van and she was knowledgeable and accommodating. We enjoyed the winery tour, wine pairing lunch with delicious food and wine overlooking the Duoro river, and a picturesque boat ride with the gorgeous terraced vineyards on each side.

We had an amazing time on the Private Douro Valley Tour. Our guide, Enrique, was incredibly personable and knowledgeable, enhancing our experience with his insights. The visit to Quinta do Cume was a highlight, offering fabulous wines and an in-depth tour by the winemaker himself—one of the best winery tours I’ve ever had. The Douro river cruise was perfectly placed within the itinerary, providing a serene and picturesque break. Lunch at Vila Gale Douro Vineyards was delightful, accompanied by more excellent wines. Overall, this was a perfect tour and easily one of the best I’ve experienced anywhere. Highly recommended!

Fun and informative tour and tasting at a Quinta, a beautiful river cruise on our own private boat, and a delicious lunch - all with lots of wine from the Douro valley. Our guide Luis was very friendly, knowledgeable, and did a great job. Highly recommended!
