Very well organised. The group was a bit larger than expected but the hosts managed it really smoothly. The information was really interesting and the interior was very atmospheric. And the port was DELICIOUS.

Great guided tour and Fado Show. The Porto was excellent and the experience was fantastic. I strongly recommend this tour and have already recommended it to another traveler

This is a great event that combines two distinctly Portuguese experiences into one. Instead of combining dinner with a fado show that takes several hours and you can’t talk to the person you’re with, this is a 45 minute fado experience that was better for us and offered at the tail end of an entertaining distillery tour. The fado was terrific! And the distillery tour is educational and informative and delivered by lively and welcoming tour guides. We absolutely loved this experience. The tasting was also great

Lovely tour. The explanation/wine tour was a little long and repetitive. Show was nice. Porto was good
Jacqueline_S, Dec 2025
The tour was very informative and interesting. It was fun to taste port after learning about its processing. The Fado show was great.
Sarah_B, Nov 2025
Excellent tour of port wine making! We loved the Fado experience! They were all such talented musicians!
Susan_F, Nov 2025
Tour was a brief description of how port is made. Not enough if this is your 1st experience in a port cellar. Fado music was good. Think fado at a bar would be more enjoyable.

You have pestered me for a response. So I'd say very average experience. Billed as Fado and port tasting at Taylors Callum. Yes true but we milled around in the dark around very large barrels of port then ushered upstairs for a tasting glass of a red and white port.
Then an average Fado set for 30 minutes and out the door. 4 songs and thanks for coming! Rip off.
No emotion by singers just boring although musicians tried hard

Lovely evening enjoying Port and Fado! Highly recommend! Both singers were terrific and we had a great time!

Fantastic tour and show and excellent Port tasting with live music worth every penny. The Fado Show was excellent and the tour informative.
Jonathan_S, Jul 2025
Not greatly set up or process explained in an understandable way. Did not enjoy the tawny at all. Fado show was ok
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you for your feedback, it means a lot to us.
We're sorry that the experience didn't quite meet your expectations.
We will try to improve.
Best regards

A large number of travelers are herded around in an efficient manner. Our guide Beatrice, worked hard to impart knowledge regarding the history and the actual making of the port. Why very tall people block the view for shorter ones like myself and friend, I will never understand.
The actual tasting was preceded by a short description of what we would taste, and then we were shepherded into a huge room, seated with 2 glasses of port in front of us, and treated to a Fado performance. It would have been beneficial if we had a short explanation about their repertoire.

Fun to see the caves. Ending the tour with Fado and wine in the evening was nice. All seemed to enjoy the entertainment. Singing and music was very good!
Divya_J, Mar 2025
Good history of the wine cellars, but a bit short. Fado show was lovely but a bit longer than we thought.
Kevin_Y, Feb 2025
Very nice place relaxing environment and educational. Wine and beautiful music nice event before we had dinner across the river.
Cube_C, Feb 2025
An easy location to reach, the lady who presented the location is extremely dedicated, and the fado program was worth all the money!!
Caroline_C, Jan 2025
Really lovely evening both learning about the Port, tasting it and then listening to the Fado music!
Darisleydi_S, Dec 2024
It was very interesting and informative. The Live Fado show was amazing and made it truly special. And the walk to there and back was lovely,
Laumary_C, Dec 2024
Very friendly staff at the front desk and the guide as well, she was very knowledgeable and professional. The Fado group was amazing, excellent performance. The two wines for tasting were so good, we bought a bottle of each one, prices are very affordable less than €25 each bottle and it worth it.
David_W, Nov 2024
The cellar tour was very rushed. No time to look around the cellar or exhibits, moving quickly to each section whilst guide just read what was shown on screen very quickly, she sounded like a horse racing commentator! Could not digest the information on the screens as they were just changed so quickly. Port tasting is just 2 glasses on the table for you to taste, no explanation what they were. Disappointed we could not tasted a range of ports. Fado show was good though quite long. More time spent learning about Port would have been better. Even at the end we were rushed out of the place as they wanted to close up.

The tour and the Fado experience performers were exceptional. Unfortunately, there were a group of females at a table next to us during the Fado experience who ignored the announcement to not use flash in their cameras. They talked loudly throughout the performance and were in their cellphones with lighted screens. They also used flash on their cameras. It was extremely disrespectful and distracting. We reported it to one of the workers during the performance and no attempt was made on behalf of management to ask them to be respectful to the performers and fellow guests. That was disappointing and unacceptable.

I think I should have done a little more research into the tasting. I didn’t know it was such a huge group and such a rushed tour. We couldn’t see what was going on because of all of the people and she spoke really fast. We did learn a few things, though. One of the reasons we chose the tour was the word “caves”. We thought we going to get a more in depth tour through the port barrel caves. It was beautiful but you didn’t go very far. The Fado show was great and the ports were delicious. This was my personal opinion but may be perfect for others just wanting to touch on the history of port.
Louise_B, Oct 2024
We had a very knowledgeable guide who provided very interesting facts on the production of port wine. It was a little dark in the cellars so we were not as comfortable with the surroundings but we understand that this is normal for a cellar. The Port tasting and Fado show were wonderful. The musicians/singers gave us a truly authentic experience.
Paul_S, Oct 2024
Tour was very informative. The Fado show was amazing, the musicians and singers were excellent.
Highly recommend it.
Nick_H, Sep 2024
I loved the music. Very nice setting for listening to Fado. Tawny port was the best with complexity of flavours.
Valerie_W, Sep 2024
Truthfully, this tour is like a cattle call.
A private tour possibly could be better. The fado show was pleasant but not very personable.
Rick_W, Sep 2024
Really great tour wine and fado music was excellent. Maybe add two more wines to taste and sone cheese and crackers.
Karen_M, Sep 2024
Well done performance
Interesting information on the history of port wine
Port samples were tasty
Beautiful facility
Wendy_L, Sep 2024
Great tour, the music and singing was very very good. Port was nice too. Good value for the price, especially for a first time visit to a port cellar
Julia_B, Sep 2024
The tour was interesting, though brief and the port tasting was enjoyable whilst listening to the singing. Well organised event
