For guests staying in the central downtown area, we are happy to begin the walking tour directly from your hotel lobby. Please note that this is a 100% walking experience; no vehicular transportation is provided. At the end of the tour, your guide will happily guide you back to your hotel on foot, or leave you at a central location of your choice to continue exploring. Please provide your hotel name at the time of booking to confirm if it falls within our walking pickup zone.

Fabulist Food tour Porto

We had an incredible food tour in Porto with Maria! She went completely above and beyond for us right from the start, even going out of her way to meet us at our hotel before showing us around the city. Though it was scheduled as a four-hour tour, it easily stretched to five hours because we had so many questions as first-time visitors, and Maria happily answered every single one of them. She genuinely cared about making our trip special and was more than welcoming, never once making us feel rushed or like we were prolonging our time together. She introduced us to authentic local spots and classic Portuguese cuisine that we never would have found on our own. We sampled amazing treats—from Ruby Port with Avianense chocolate at Casa Januário and local cheeses with pumpkin jam at A Favorita do Bolhão, to traditional veal pastries, a delicious bifana with a Super Bock at Conga, and even ginjinha in a chocolate cup at the Bolhão Market. Maria is warm, knowledgeable, and dedicated to giving her guests a fantastic experience. If you are visiting Porto, do yourself a favor and book a tour with her. You won't just get a great guide; you'll make a friend in the city!
