Ricardo, our tour guide, was one of the best guides we've ever encountered. He was charming, polite, personable and oh so knowledgeable - there wasn't a question he could not answer. He took us from Porto's cathedral through the old town to the famous Lello bookshop. He even arranged for a charming coffee break in Porto's famous tiled train station. At every stage of our walk he managed to bring history back to life. We thoroughly recommend this tour - it is so worth it and leaves you satisfied, entertained and educated.

What has been said about Porto is true. Be prepared for cobblestones and elevation change. A good pair of walking shoes is a must. Helps to be a little bit in shape as well. Also, our tour guide was excellent! She was well versed, pleasant and, above all, patient.
Made the whole experience special.

Got cancelled due to weather. MANY other tour groups were going, so it was very disappointing. We were able to get the tix to the library, so we at least had that.

I regret that I have forgotten the guide’s name because he remembered ours as we said goodbye at the end of a fantastic walking tour. Our guide was a history graduate who gave us a detailed and fascinating insight into Porto’s history as we walked around the old town. Our walk finished at the amazing Lello bookshop where he sorted out a difficulty that we had with our ticket, entirely of our own making. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

Our guide Rosa was an amazing resource. The scope and breath of her knowledge was exceptional. We were provided a slow paced tour of Porto and university quality lecture on the past 1000 years. In addition to having a living history and connection, Rosa gave a personal story of the city from past and into present and was receptive to questions that few others could answer. It was like being shown the town by s good friend or close relative. The experience gave much insight and understanding that will forever leave an impression. Highly recommended, a must do when visiting Porto.

Roza was an amazing tour guide. She was very friendly and highlighted the history of porto.
We made several stops and she always provided a histrionical context of each site we visited. She was very patient with our children and went out of her way to answer their questions.
We definitely recommend Roza as a tour guide.

Our tour with Ricardo was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable and amicable as he took us on a tour of the major highlights in Porto. The walking tour was feasible for both me and my mother, and we got to see the Se Cathedral, the bridge as a pedestrian, Sao Bento train station, Avenue dos Aliados, Rua da Flores, several other cathedrals, and more. What was really great was how Ricardo gave informative and interesting information for each area so it didn't feel overwhelming but rather a solid historic overview of the city and its quirks. His passion for the city and showcasing it to visitors was evident.
