Fantastic trip to the Douro Valley

The day trip to the Douro Valley was definitely a highlight for our visit to Portugal. Dolphin, our driver and guide was very professional, knowledgeable and very welcoming to making our experience the best! The drive to the Douro Valley consisted of a quick stop in a local village for pastries and cafe. The Douro Valley was more beautiful than expected…the guide new all the vineyards and history which we greatly appreciated. We visited Sandeman vineyard which was an excellent choice by our guide! We thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting and lunch overlooking the Douro Valley! If I had another day I’d do this again!

The wine farm is an awesome experience… nature at its best … diversity and multicolored… our tour guide who was driving us to the places was awesome gentleman.. the wine and red rose was an unique experience in the boat.. thanks a lot dear…

Delfim Batista was an extraordinary guide throughout an exceptional day. Our visit to the Douro Valley was well planned and executed perfectly, including remarkable stops at two wine farms, a lovely one-hour trip by boat on the Douro, a terrific riverside lunch, and a nighttime surprise that only Delfin could have arranged. His hospitality and narration at each stop and along the way made this our best day in Portugal.
