I had a great time on the tour with Joao as our guide. It was as advertised, and Joao was quite knowledgeable and friendly to all of us guests. The waterfall and hike up to Sanghuino were lovely, and the scenery was stunning. As an experienced back country hiker, this was a fairly popular trail on the weekend and kind of crowded in the afternoon. I bet earlier in the morning and during the week might present less busy options for this beautiful trail and waterfall.

Claire was an excellent guide. She informed us of the different types of plants we saw along the way. She made sure to monitor the pace so that nobody was far behind. The scenery was changing and interesting.

So much more than just a hike! Dani have us in depth insight into the history and culture of Sao Miguel on the drive to the hiking spot and then we took a different route home to see and learn even more. The hike was fantastic! It was very lush and we got to not only visit the waterfall, but an abandoned village that is starting renovations. Easy hike in my opinion, but I’m a big hiker. No one in our group struggled with it, but it was a nice little work out.

Great trip. Deni was wonderful the whole trip explaining the history and the landscape of Sao Miguel. Beautiful hike and waterfalls followed by a wonderful cup of tea at the factory.

La caminata es un poco dura y algunos tramos son complicados. El paraje natural es precioso y la guía, Deny, genial. El problema es que contratamos la excursión en castellano y al haber una pareja que solo hablaba en inglés toda la excursión fue en ese idioma. Tampoco hubo buena comunicación con Viator y la empresa que realiza la actividad con el sitio de recogida. El picnic un poco escaso para mí gusto.
