Meet your guide at the Arc du Carrousel, a large arch with a horse-drawn chariot on top. It is located across the road from the Louvre's courtyard. Turn your back on the glass Pyramid and you will see it across the road, just past the roundabout. Metro station : Palais Royal-Musée du Louvre (lines 1 and 7).

The guide was new. Hardly showed and explained 5-6 display items and took 1 hr for it. After that left us on our own. The ticket says skip the line but the guide made us feel privileged when he made us skip the queue after a long chat with the guards. They dont use the short wave earphones like some other tour operators so the guide is hardly audible in noisy louvre.

Thank you for you review, although we are sorry to read that you were disappointed with your tour. You chose the semi-private version of the tour which has a maximum of 6 guests, so we don't use the radio headsets on that tour as it's a very intimate tour with only a very small group, and the guide is able to talk and interact directly to all of you in close proximity, headsets would remove this intimacy and interaction.
We do explain that this tour will show the main highlights of the museum. There is a huge amount to see spread over a very large space and we want to ensure you get to see the major masterpieces, which can be a challenge in such a vast museum. We also give you a thorough introduction which then allows you to better explore on your own if you would like, or ensures that you've seen the 'must sees' if you have had enough time in the museum at the end of the tour.
As I'm sure you saw, even 'skip the line' access can become complicated in the height of the busy season. Our aim is always to get you past the very long lines and inside as quickly as possible, and we are glad that your guide was able to do that for you.

i was disappointed --ourguide decided not to use the head set because we had a small group
of five---however the french talk softly--I could not here her for most of the tour!!

We are sorry to read your comments. We do provide headsets for all our tours that have more than 8 people, but you chose a group which has a maximum size of 6 people. It's a much more intimate format and you can stay close to the guide at all times. It also allows you the opportunity to talk with your guide during the tour and headsets would detract from the intimate and more private feel of this tour. Please don't hesitate to tell your guide if you can't hear them well at any point, she would have been very disappointed to learn this only at the end of the tour!

Our guide Carolina was superb…from her knowledge of the history of the Louvre to the paintings and sculpture….she guided us superbly through the crowds ensuring we had front row access to the main attractions. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour and trust me, small group skip the line is the only way to go!!! Thank you for an unforgettable experience!!!

The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The tour length was perfect. My only recommendation is to have better directions for the meeting place. It directed us to an Arch that was under construction, so it was not easy to find and the guide had a very small sign. We found her though and the tour was great.

Our guide Perriné was superb and got us through to the most popular highlights in this 3 hour tour. She is very knowledgeable in her covering of paintings, sculpture and artifacts and is interested in her group’s understanding the history of the art. You will be very lucky if you get Perriné as your guide. She is excellent.

We loved our tour and tour guide!!!!! I booked the small group with no headsets, which made it more personable. He was knowledgeable and really seemed to love giving tours. Even though it was a little crowded, we could hear everything he said and was really engaging.
I highly recommend this tour!!! 10 out of 10!

This was excellent. Met our tour guide John Edward who was outstanding. He directed us effortlessly into the Louvre and brilliantly recounted the history of the Louvre and many famous artworks within the Museum. It was so helpful to go from piece to piece without need of a map and I learned so much more about the art and it’s place in history listening to John. This tour was totally worth it. I would highly recommend it.

This small group skip the line tour was the BEST way to see the Lourve. Our guide (Celia?) was so engaging and informative - I cannot imagine having a better experience than we did. Because we were a small group we were able to navigate easily through crowded areas and she answered everyone’s questions knowledgeably and professionally. Do not let the expense of this tour deter you - I would absolutely do this again . It was well worth it. The Lourve is a HUGE and CROWDED museum and having a guide such as this is a must.

We’ve been to the Louvre before, yet the tour introduced us to new areas.
The moat of the palace and stories were very interesting! And, the palace rooms on the upper floors were opulent. Both areas we had never visited. Our guide Cristina was great and super knowledgeable!! 💗

Unfortunately our guide Rosanne had a few things working against her, she failed to bring a microphone and ear buds for the participants, her english was somewhat hard to understand, and she was soft spoken as well. The Louvre Museum is a very crowded and loud environment and most of the guides seem to be taking the extra steps for good communication. She was a nice woman, but I would not recommend her tour.

It can get very crowded in the Louvre at the moment, please don't hesitate to tell your guide if you are not able to hear them well. We don't generally use the headsets for the semi-private tours as they are just 6 people and quite intimate tours, but it's certainly something that we will look at if the noise levels are getting such that it's hard to hear.
Your comments are valuable to us as they will help us keep working to ensure the the quality of our tours is always as high as possible.

Our tour guide’s name was John. John was knowledgeable and so kind. He really helped to provide a great first time visit to the Louvre and given the time of the tour we had more than enough time to venture off and visit other areas within the museum after the tour. All visitors to the Louvre have to go through the security and ticket checks, this is something that cannot be avoided. The wait times can vary and the Louvre is extremely busy at the moment. This is one of the advantages of having a guide, as they know the museum so well and can ensure you get through the various checks as fast as possible on the day.
All of our guides are licensed professionals who have chosen their job because they love sharing their love of history, culture and art with others. They have studied at guide school and prepare their visits very thoroughly. We are sorry that you did feel this on the day of your visit and we have shared your comments with your guide.

VIP Experience
No waiting in line to get in and had intimate tour with great guide. The hardest part was finding the right person/guide. There were so many different tour companies meeting in same place.
