The tour was fantastic. A very comprehensive walk through the times before, during and after the French Revolution. I would highly recommend this for anyone visiting Paris, to bring to life the history of the city (and country) in a fun and educational way.
I was amazed to learn that the terms "right wing" and "left wing", which are so commonplace in politics now, came from the French Assembly. Our tour guide was a friendly and knowledgeable gentleman from Wales, who actively encouraged questions and discussion. He did a great job! Thank you very much to Fat Tire Tours for such a superb tour and tour guide.

Ian is a wealth of knowledge and has a good sense of humour to boot! So, along with the walk through quintessential Paris, we learned a lot about the lead up and events surrounding the French Revolution.

Our guide Aaron was great. He was very knowledgeable, funny and nice. His story telling style kept you engaged. Seeing the tuileries garden and Place de la Concorde was amazing. Answered any questions we had. Would recomend this tour to a history fan or a person with a moderate level interest alike.

So much fun & very informative. Our guide was very engaging & even held the attention of my 16yo daughter. It was a bit longer than I expected, which was fine with me. We had a great time & recommend it.

Our guide was so informed and so well able to transmit historical information to the group of people from other nations and unknown prior knowledge of the subject but all with a thirst for the knowledge our tour leader could provide on the ground in the actual locations these historical activities took place ( except Versailes) . So he brought history to life in places we never would have individually found. A really enlightening Tour by the Welshman. Thank you..

Nick gave a superb tour - we loved it and would do another tour because of the quality of his. He brought the French Revolution to life.
I enjoyed hearing about Marie Antoinette - I thought there were parallels with Meghan Merkle there! I would have liked a timeline, while also appreciating that the revolution was so chaotic and went on for so long with an ever-changing cast, that it's hard to make the timeline understandable and interesting. I think the guide was probably sensible to just concentrate on a few key characters.

We enjoyed learning about the revolutionary and how it started and the fate of the royalty. Our guide, Mado, was knowledgeable and made the tour a lot of fun adding other interesting details along the way. Highly recommend this tour for people interested in doing some other hitting the typical tourist spots in Paris.

Passionate & crazy-knowledgeable about the history, he was wonderfully dramatic & colorful in sharing the complex details of the French Revolution. He could answer every question we had as a group. He considerately looked after us all (including a couple w a baby), introduced each of us to each other & got us talking about our respective countries of origin. It was a long tour, as befit the topic, but it flew by!
Cannot imagine learning about the French Revolution more effectively than from this tour guide!!

Learnt lots about the revolution. Loved the different stops along the way. Tour not in chronological order which may confuse some.

Great small group ( 10 people) with no flag carrying leader who was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history. Easy walking and significant sights included for 2 1/2 he walk!
Guide was quite nice and told some interesting stories, but he seemed to really simplify the history at times and we just wanted more detail. The tour wasn’t always done in chronological order, which sometimes made it hard to follow (I think this was done because of the order of places we stopped at, but I would consider rearranging to give the tour in more of a chronological order). Also felt there was a little too much walking and too little narration - would have liked to cover less ground but hear more history. We are picky about tours and I’d say this didn’t quite meet our expectations.
We had a brilliant time on this tour! Guide was really interesting and fun! Learned a lot about the revolution I didn’t know before!
