once the tour started the guide was pleasant and knowledgeable and open to questions. However she was 15 minutes late and we had no way to contact her. Our next guide at Montartre was a complete no show. Overall we have had a good experience with Viator in other cities but Paris was not so

The exterior tour of Notre-Dame was very well organized. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and explained the history clearly and passionately.

This tour was cancelled 1 hour after stated start time. I arrived 1/2 hour early for this tour and waited 1 hour for the tour to start. A company representative finally came and said the guide was sick and we would be credited. After multiple calls to Viator, they refused to crest the fee.
I have done dozens of tours with Viator, but will not use the again due to this horrendous customer experience!

Do not recommend - this was not what we paid for.
The tour lasted only 20 minutes with a limited explanation of the history and some éléments of the exterior. No interior tour; we were asked to do by ourselves.

It was freezing on 1/6/26 and we were waiting for the tour guide - as instructed since 2:15. When she came 10 minutes late she then informed us that we would be out in the cold for yet another 30 minutes, hearing a diatribe that she could have given to us inside the church where it was warm. Thusly no one really paid attention as it was freezing.
Other than that it was fine.

Our group was cancelled and we knew nothing about the cancellation until we arrived in the freezing weather. The guide was apologetic but could do nothing to rectify the situation.

It is worth the crowds to experience Notre Dame. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the cathedral itself is, after being restored, breathtaking.

We planned a private tour. Received all of the directions. Followed them explicitly. When we arrived at the meeting point on time; I even took a photo that is time-stamped. The tour guide was not visible to us. The directions said there that the guide would be holding a Viator sign as well as a pink flag. We didn't see either of those things. After 5 minutes, I texted customer support to say that we were there. I stayed at the meeting point while my friend started walking around asking all of the other tour groups if they were ours. After waiting 10 minutes, I called customer support. They said the tour had already started. The offered us a change of date, but our schedule would not allow any other date. I requested a refund, or would have been satisfied with a credit toward the next booking, but management said no. We would have to default on the booking with no offers to offset the expense. I tried to elevate this issue to a manager but they were not interested in discussing.
As someone who worked many years in Customer Service, I've extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled. As a result of this experience, I will never do another booking with Viator.

According to the cancellation policy, this activity cannot be changed or refunded if you miss the visit.
We understand that you were at the cathedrale but maybe not at the statue as explained on the voucher. The guide is always wearing a pink flag to be seen.

The tour guide, Anais, was exceptional. 1/2 of the time was outside the Cathedral and 1/2 is inside. Extensive knowledge of the history and construction of the Cathedral. You are able to stay inside after the tour to photograph at your leisure.

Half of the tour is outside, and the other half is inside the church. You can stay in Notre Dame on your own after the tour is over. Claudia our tour guide was the best part of the whole experience.

If one goes on this tour, make sure you can get Claudia. She was excellent, and the information was a mixture of history and the meaning of the different decades of refurbishment.!

Our guide, Claudia, was very informative and knowledgeable about Notre Dame. Definitely worth getting the tour so you can get inside Notre Dame. Our guide was able to highlight many of the beautiful features and provide some interesting background for different aspects of the architecture of the church.

The cathedral is magnificent but enhanced with knowledge of history and the significance of the various elements of the architecture, statues, paintings etc. The guided tour gives you so much enjoyment of this great building.
