We met in front of the main travel office. Very clear directions on where to meet. We had the first morning tour so office was not yet open. Our guide met us prior to the assigned time. I cannot stress enough that it is important to meet prior to the time you have selected. I was traveling in a party of four with the total group consisting of approximately 12. That was a very manageable size and made it easier to navigate the cathedral and exterior plaza prior to entry. Once the assigned time came along we departed and did a quick 10 minute walk across the Siene to pick up our audio devices next to the cathedral. Meeting away from the cathedral on a quite environment was an excellent expierence over meeting in a crowded plaza at Notre Dame. Another excellent feature is the audio devices used by our guide which helped to clearly hear the explanations described by our guide. In what can be a noisy environment not needing to crowd around the guide to hear what she was saying outside the main Cathedral where the crowds were very loud was a plus. Entry was very easy and no need to stand in line. The exterior description of the cathedral features was very thorough for a group environment and allowed time for questions as we waited for our entry window for groups. At the appropriate time we entered smoothly proceeded through the security check point and entered the interior. Once inside we sat for a bit so our guide could tell us various stories and point out various aspects of the architecture. We then proceeded with a walk thru of the interior narrated by our guide to include the stain glass, choir and other various discussions on the history as well as the fire that occurred and its restoration. Overall a great tour and well worth over just visiting and walking around on your own to view the cathedral.

Antoine Rosselot is such a bright light. His love for his job is evident as he shared the inspiration for his profession began as a young boy. He was warm and friendly, making a true attempt to know every person in our group by name. He was knowledgeable and engaging. Antoine took things a step further when he privately messaged intricate details of his Paris favorites when we asked, after our tour. The tour meeting location was clean and proximal to Notre Dame. We'd recommend this experience to all of our friends and family.

Was a good tour and lots about the fire, but we wish we learned more about the history and architecture of Notre-Dame. What makes it Gothic vs. Romanesque? What is the story the facade tells? Why was it built? What happened to it over the centuries? How does N-D fit into the history of Paris? Wha bout Victor Hugo and Notre Dame? So it was a nice tour, but for the price, we wanted to learn more.

You clearly know your Notre Dame! We agree that any tour of the Paris Cathedral needs to address how it arose to be fully Gothic out of the preceding Romanesque style, to tell the façade’s tales, and how it all fits into Paris’s urban history. It’s a good thing that we do just that – and most often guests have no prior knowledge so we must speak to all levels. Perhaps in the wealth of information offered, some topics didn't register with you after the moment, but your guide does indeed cover (as do all Memories guides) every one of these topics in some depth as standard points. We do of course welcome any questions, which helps us better gauge where your individual interests lie and better tailor the tour to the group. In fact in investigating your comment, your guide was so disappointed you didn’t avail yourself of his expertise for more information after the tour.! Rest assured, however, the development of Gothic out of the Romanesque, the façade, the architectural significance and how it fits into Parisian history and more is part of what we offer for the regular Notre Dame tours. We do hope the rest of your stay in beautiful, historic Paris was all you wished for and more besides.

Sylvie was Informative, interesting and fave a wonderful and well paced tour of Notre Dame. Photos were a nice addition. Meeting place was easy to find. Only negative- meeting place did not have a toilet.

This was such an interesting tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the interior and the exterior as well. We had plenty of time to walk slowly through the cathedral and enjoy what we were seeing and learning about.

Notre Dame is amazing in itself but Andrea did such a good job explaining the different pieces of it. She also explained the fire from 2019 and what a miracle it was that the stained glass is still in tact. We want to come back in 2028 when it is done!

Looked at many Notre Dame tour options but noticed that they covered just the exterior. This tour was special as inside access ticket was included and our excellent guide Manuel was able to explain as we went through using our headsets. He even took extra time at the end to answer some questions in the pouring rain!

The group wasn’t too big and the headphones allowed us to hear the guide when we were in the cathedral. Our guide Pauline was excellent. She had great knowledge about the history of Paris and the development of the cathedral which she enthusiastically explained to the group.

Our substitute guide, Fabienne G, was fantastic and my rating is not a reflection of her service, knowledge or professionalism. She kept the group engaged and explained the symbolism of the various windows, areas, carvings and artwork found throughout Notre Dame. The tour, once it began, was wonderful. There was an issue with the original guide being available for our tour. The company did secure a replacement, Fabienne, that would be available to arrive approximately 45-60 minutes later. We were told that we would complete the interior portion instead of the outdoor portion of the tour first due to the delay and the tickets having a specific time slot. We would have appreciated an attempted advanced notice of the tour start time being changed instead being advised of the changes upon our arrival. We may have planned our morning slightly differently if we knew of the changes even 30 minutes prior to the tour start time.

Thank you so much for your detailed comments, which we take very seriously. We particularly appreciate your acknowledgment of the guide’s hard work at last minute notice, and thank you for that too. Concerning the delay, the issue is so rare there was hesitation in how to handle it.The mishap occurred when the original guide was trapped in a stalled train, too far away from any taxi or bike, and contacted the office as soon as they realized there was no way to be at the meeting point before the tour, an hour and fifteen minutes before the scheduled meeting time. The office immediately set to moving heaven and earth in order to avoid disappointing you or any other guest by finding a replacement guide. We were determined to make this happen for everyone; The only available guide notified us twenty minutes before the scheduled tour, hence five minutes before the appointed meeting time but could not be there for another hour; We would have hoped to have been able to notify you and our other guests in real time of the delay but in the moment did not have solid information to relay.
Placing you in the hands of a guide like Fabienne, we knew at least you would have the wonderful experience we strive to provide even with the delay, guaranteeing that you would see all that you came to marvel at despite the hurdle of a last minute change.
Please accept our deepest apologies for that late notice and the inconvenience to you. It will weigh on future policy as to how to update clients in the case of such a rare crisis. We do hope, nevertheless, that the rest of your stay in Paris was all you had wished for and more.

I had a wonderful experience using Viator in Athens for our tour to the Acropolis, where the meeting place was clearly given. Therefore, I recommended using Viator to my 3 friends and myself to take an interior tour of Notre Dame. I cannot tell you how disappointed we were because we never got this tour where we spent $375. The directions to the place where the tour began were very vague. We finally were able to find the place, but we were told that the guide had left with 19 people instead of just 6 people that I had originally been told would be in this tour. We were told to try to catch up with the guide, who had curly hair and a black shirt. Can you imagine how difficult this would be trying to find him among thousands of people? The guide never tried to contact us- not even once even though he had my cell.
We had to wait in line with all the other people who hadn’t booked with a guide and we never met the guide. A friend of ours had the same experience the next day. I cannot tell you how extremely disappointed we were to not have this tour since I had booked it several months ago and it was to be the highlight of our time in Paris.
I feel if Viator wants to keep a good relationship and reputation, our money should be refunded since we never were able to take this interior tour of Notre Dame on your guided tour.

We are of course saddened to read your comments. We do our utmost to make the meeting point as clear as possible. We give the specific brick-and-mortar street address of our agency – a comfortable place where you can relax and have a seat while waiting for the tour to launch. It is in a central location without crowds and on top of that specific listed address, we add explicit written directions and a detailed map that for ease’s sake we print your voucher. We do ask our guests to be present at that meeting point fifteen minutes before the tour launch to avoid any mishap of precisely this kind. For, above and beyond the precautions just stated, we also call all our guests – as you saw – to make sure you get to your guide and can thus take the tour.
As you were not at the meeting point at the designated time,We called you at 2:03 pm and you were in the church instead of outside where the guide was giving the first part of the tour which was to last 45 minutes, sufficient for you to go outside and join him. We informed you he was at at the statue, holding our orange company flag as well as his orange lanyard, plus his shirt and description. You replied that you were in a church and could not speak and ended the call. We posted a second guide to wait for you for another hour after that with the orange flag and lanyard, so that he could escort you to the tour in progress.
Our Customer Service accompanied you all along and made certain you had this information (the guide cannot stop leading the tour to make the calls himself) and so we are in the dark as to why you chose to get in line. We are also in the dark as to your claim that the tour was to be only six people, as we offer either a five person tour with standard entry or a twenty person tour with reserved entry and our records state that you paid for the latter.
We regret that you were not able to enjoy that tour with us, and hope that the rest of your time in our lovely city was all you could possibly have wanted and more.

There is limited walking and lots of information on outdoor architecture, reconstruction post fire, and on inside of the cathedral. Our 8:45am tour took off on time. Headsets were provided, reserved entry was walk right in, guide had great knowledge of all aspects of the cathedral.

“M” was the guide for our group access to Notre Dame. She explained the vast history of the city, its changing culture, and how that influenced Notre Dame. She informed us of the significant events in her past that threatened her existence. M explained the spire and described the sculptures above the doors. Having tickets ahead of time enabled fast and smooth entry ahead of those waiting in line. M guided us inside where we toured the entire church. We walked the perimeters that were cordoned off for tour and visitor traffic. M showed us the survivors of the fire that are displayed within the Church. Afterwards I was grateful for time to enter the cordoned off prayer sections to pray my rosary and to simply absorb the magnificence of incredible Notre Dame.

The tour did take place approx 45 minutes later than scheduled. Reportedly the original guide was unable so a substitute was summoned. Nothing you can do about that but it would have been beneficial to have been notified of the modified start. In addition, the meeting point could be clarified as “in front of Paris Tours” as the business is right there.
