We had no experience. After waiting for over 30 minutes in 40 degree weather, outside in the dark, in a random not well lit location, we finally contacted the tour operator. The other couple and the two of us kept being told by text that the driver was almost there. Then the tour operator stopped responding to us. After over another 30 minutes passed, they called and told us the tour was cancelled.

Hello,
As we informed you, your tour guide was unfortunately hospitalized. While we sincerely apologize for not being able to run the tour as planned, we are hoping you can understand these exceptional circumstances.

Angeline is a wonderful guide and person She has a compassionate heart for the well and important preserved history . I highly recommend this outing and would love to see younger generations have an opportunity to visit . I myself didn’t understand the magnitude of the sacrifice until visiting, hopefully are hearts can preserve this memory.
God Bless these Countries .

Our guide Angeline was wonderful, she was professional, informative, friendly, and caring. It is humbling to visit the places so many scarified their lives for our world freedom. I would have given a 5 star but I would like more than 30 min in museum and our driver was careless and got into a wreck.

It will give an authenic history of what happened in Europe during World War Two and how Americans made a massive sacrifice to save France and the rest of Europe.

Comfortable van to travel in with one stop during the ride to Normandy and the ride back to Paris. During the drives we talked to the other passengers. There wasn't any commentary from our guide or driver. Our guide was very informative and spoke great English. All stops were the perfect length and even timed to see Taps being playing at the American Cemetery while the flags were being lowered. Would highly recommend this tour and Viator.

Very interesting and informative tour.
Long day of travel but stops along way and lunch at restaurant and cider tasting at farm house made it enjoyable.

Very insightful be aware of 3 and a half hr trip from Paris beautiful countryside on the way overall a great experience
Ed_C, Jul 2025
The drive there and back was painful. We were crammed into a minivan, 3 adults in each row, facing each other, so that we had no leg room. For 3-4 hours, with 1 rest break.
Other than that, the tour was great. The guide was wonderful. The activities were as advertised. With better transportation, it's a 5 star tour. But crammed into the minivan, I'd never recommend it to anyone.

It is a long day. Although it is broken up into sections with opportunity for nourishment and bathroom breaks. It is an amazing experience and I was happy to see so many people having an interest in DDay and what it meant to the whole world.

We saw so much in a short amount of time. Well organized and informative. We had guided time as well as time to explore on our own. It was a well planned trip

Well managed tour from Paris to Normandy in all group (11). Anjeli was our guide and provided great information and narrative. She also gave us a preview of the day and at each location would remind us of timetables. She was very energetic and Genuinely interested in providing a quality tour. Readily answered questions and was helpful to all touring. She made the tour very enjoyable. Victor, the driver, was an ace! So very helpful to those who needed it, provided extra stop at visitors center/gift shop, a careful driver in traffic and was very visible to passengers to get us to right place at right time. Glad we took this tour and glad Anjeli and Victor were our guide and driver. Recommend them highly!

Perfect amount of time spent at each location in Normandy. Great lunch. Friendly and knowledgeable tour guide who spoke perfect English. Highly recommend!

This is a great way to navigate Normandy for a day trip from Paris. It is a very full day but is worth the time commitment. Anjali was an excellent guide for the day and full of relevant information and background.
Matthew_F, Jun 2025
I very much enjoyed the trip. It was convenient and comfortable, and our guide
Anjali was kind and knowledgeable. It whet my appetite to learn more about Normandy and D-Day. I suggest future tours forgo the cider tasting, which while pleasant, wasted time I would have preferred to spend at the beaches. In particular, I would have liked more time at the Utah Beach museum. Likewise, if the tour had provided a boxed lunch instead of driving us to a restaurant, we could have seen more historic sites. But in general, I was pleased with the tour.

This was a bucket list activity for us. So worth every second. Lunch was great tour guide was great enjoyed it all

From Paris, this is NOT a day trip. It's a long and tough day and our very capable multilingual tour guide was truly great. While all was good, it was by no means great for me because of the six hours on the bus where I prayed for bathroom stops! The sad thing for sure was that our last stop to the American cemetery was CLOSE in prep for actual D-Day ceremonies! There was no notice given to guide or posted on the web site -- supposedly. Seeing the American cemetery was the MAIN reason I chose to take this tour (and I don't especially like group tours of ANY sort). We did pivot and go to a much smaller British cemetery which was a truly great option and for sure beautifully serene. Our tour guide apparently did the best she could do, but oh what a disappointment. The final disappointment was an unplanned stop to fast food McDonald's cafe where someone had a pressing toilet need! The group decided to make this the "final" stop for food and such in deference to getting back to Paris. I have not eaten at McDonald's in decades as a diabetic! But it was nice to return to Paris just in time for the lighting of the Eiffel Tower -- which as always is a wow.
I would recommend making the trip to Normandy a visit that includes an overnight where you don't feel pressed to see the WWII sites and scenes. The little towns and villages were so fine accentuated by our brief apple cider tasting.
This is NOT a day trip.
Response from Host, Jun 2025
We're glad you enjoyed the guide and cider tasting, and we understand the disappointment regarding the unexpected cemetery closure. As noted in the product description, this is a full-day trip from Paris and does not include an overnight stay. Appreciate you sharing your feedback!

Wonderful guide! Very informative and caring.
Great experience! Definitely a WWII history immersion, the museum was amazing. The cemetery was humbling and serene.
susan_w, May 2025
It's a 13 hour day. The van was comfy especially b/c Anjali let me sit in the front. The d-day beach experience were so valuable for me to deeply connect with what happened there.
Anjali was most knowledgeable and personable.
