Our driver Ivan was outstanding. Highly recommend. As for the guide, I think it depends on your level of knowledge and interest. Diana provided some new information and she knew how to navigate the crowds to save time waiting in lines. If I were to go again, I would not book a guide to save some money as I am a master gardener, and I would make time for the museum. We enjoyed lunch on our own. There are plenty of options.

Giverny & Impressionism

Our guide, Olga, was fantastic. She gave us a history of Paris on the way out of the city, as well as preparing us for Giverny and Monet’s home. Our morning was heavy with fog, but it didn’t matter as Giverny exceeded our expectations. Flowers that shouldn’t still be blooming were waiting for us and the fog added to the visual experience, making it seem that we’d really walked into an impressionist painting.
