Listen to your sommelier’s presentation of four top-notch French wines, including Champagne, to match your 3-course gourmet dinner. (Menus vary according to the season; see below for sample courses.)
While you eat, savor the generous pours of wine and learn why the wines chosen make the perfect match to your food. Build your wine knowledge as your sommelier explains concepts such as terroir, and glean expert tips on how to taste wines properly.

First time visitor to Paris and I have to say I highly recommend this dinner with wine tasting. Our sommelier was so awesome! She was so very knowledgeable about all the wines and how they taste with certain foods. And speaking of the foods, the chef at O' Chateau did an awesome job! The eggplant appetizer was so good; the steak was to die for (and I don't eat much steak), melting in your mouth; and the dessert...OMG!! Loved the pairing of the port wine with the dessert. Never would have guessed it tasted so good with they way it smelt but again, OMG! I would highly recommend this experience to any one visiting Paris! What a great time our party of 6 had and thanks to our sommelier and O' Chateau!

Guide does not respond. We became ill and had to cancel. We tried to contact the coordinator to cancel who did not respond.

Very knowledgeable about wine and had a huge well marked map that he used to explain in a way that made sense. Food was good but chef Daniel really made the experience terrific. We ordered a case of wine to be shipped to US but there was no pressure to purchase anything extra.

The sommelier was outstanding. He taught us French wine history with great wine applications. The ribeye steak was excellent. Dessert of chocolate lava and an egg potion of vanilla ice cream was superb. It was fantastic.

So much to talk about, did a great job answering our questions. The food was wonderful and the wines were delicious! We have been to wine tastings before, but this one was especially informative with things we can use in the everyday to understand labels, know how to store, what to serve with what....

My wife and I didn’t know what to expect when we got to this dinner and wine tasting. We got to the bar early and got to enjoy a couple of wines to pass the time after a long day of walking around Paris. This dinner and wine tasting was a really good way to end our exploration of Paris! We enjoyed Gerald’s (The Sommelier) walk thru the various wines and their tastes. We particularly enjoyed the fortified wine used for dessert (Risevalt 17) since it was the first time we’ve had French fortified wine. The food was decent, especially the duck foie gras appetizer.

We arrived 8 minutes late (our fault one of the subway lines was not running) to be told that they had already served the starters to the group and we could not join and had to have dinner in the bar. For us the whole reason for booking was the experience with the sommelier so we told them we did not mind missing the starter as the experience was to learn about wine. After a 5 minute discussion between the staff they reluctantly said we could join to find the starter had NOT been served and the introductions had only just taken place so in fact if we had joined when we got there don’t think we would have missed anything. The whole evening from there was spoiled by being lied to.
The food and wines were amazing and the sommelier very knowledgeable and did not mind answering questions. We received a glass of Champagne, a white wine with the foie gras, red with the steak and a sweet wine with the desert but no digestif as mentioned on the viator booking.
Overall food and wine good but left feeling uncomfortable at how we were treated upon arrival.

Vincent was our sommelier and did an excellent job. The food and wine pairing was delicious and O'Chateau is a warm and welcoming environment. We enjoyed it so much we stayed afterwards for another glass of wine.

We enjoyed the evening, but we were disappointed that it wasn't a group, and we were served in the bar area. The attendant was very knowledgeable, but I have no idea if he was a sommelier. My food was excellent lamb, but my husband's filet was very rare instead of medium rare, so he could eat only part of it. They do know their wines and food, but I wouldn't go back there - especially for the money paid for the evening.

This wine tasting dinner exceeded any expectations I had built up in my mind for my last night in Paris. I was travelling alone, so wanted something where I wouldn't feel alone at dinner and it met that and more. We were seated at a long wine tasting table, very sophisticated and beautiful in the cellar of a restaurant. Our sommelier was more than attentive, was present for the entire time and led us on a wonderful path through French wines, their origins, anything we might have wanted to know was happily answered by Richard. He was cheerful, funny, seriously into teaching us about wine without being pushy. He really made our evening. I think he might have just stayed with us all night had we not needed to get back to our hotels before the Metro closed. Richard was a shining star of this tour, but the food was excellent as well. Thanks so much, Viator for offering this tour. Nobody should hesitate, just book it and enjoy!

This tour had all the makings of a great night out, stunning food, all three courses.
Matching champagne and wines, seriously who could want for more.
Our Sommileir Lionel was just terrific, very knowledgable in his field, and also had a great sense of humor.
The ambience of the restaurant fitted with the theme of evening. Private dining in a wine cellar, absolutely superb. Thankyou Viator for this one.

The wine tasting dinner was amazing a Richard out host was kind, funny and informative. This along with the most beautiful champagne, white and red wine to match the stater and main meals, as well as the digestif to top off with desert, magnificent! A must for the authentic Parisienne experience.

To start with, we never got a glass of champagne as advertised. The soup was not hot and the wine was not well paired with it. It was expensive for what we got. Would not recommend to others.

This made our evening. They obviously spent a lot of time preparing. The room was intimate and beautiful. They spent a lot of time with us discussing the wines and any and all wine topics. The food was as good as or better than any we had elsewhere in Paris.
We highly recommend this experience.

The food and atmosphere was great. The highlight of this tasting dinner is somewhat deceiving as I expected a sommelier to present the different wines and the pairing of the food with the selected wine. The sommelier did not present himself once but instead was presented by a waiter.

What a lovely evening in a "real" French wine bar and cellar. Pierre our sommellier did a wonderful job explaining the different wines we were drinking and how it was pared with the foods. While the food was ok - the great wine and the intimate setting in the wine cellar made for a fabulous evening. The table holds no more than a dozen folks, which makes it a lot of fun. Pierre was generous with is pours, which made it even better. Once you have experienced a few very pricey meals in Paris (it seems every one is)- this event is a great value andwe highly recommend!

The best wine tasting I have ever been to. Instead of a couple drops of liquid, they pour a good amount into your glass. They have also been the first to offer refills for a second round of delicious tasting. The food pairing for dinner was absolutely amazing. Best part = the sommelier!!!!
