The meeting point was very confusing. Ended up meeting over an hour later. Need to have a tracking to see where the tour guide is located.

Learned a lot of interesting facts about the history of the tower, from funding of construction, to maintenance, to historical uses, to painting every 7 years. Walking the stairs to the second level was self paced- our guide (Masha) waited for everyone. It was not bad and my 10 year old did not even complain!

Very disappointed. I have used Viator a couple of times previously and had a good experience. This time I booked at tour of the Eiffel Tower for my wife and niece. I sent my wife the booking email and this was presented to the Viator staff but they refused to accept it and insisted my wife download the app and get the tickets. Because the tickets weren’t booked under my wife’s email she couldn’t set up the Viator app. No sensible assistance was offered. Tour was missed. This was a birthday present for her niece so both were upset. Really poor customer service.

If you plan on going to the top I was told you can’t. Don’t book if you want to go to the top. We were told this when we arrived and here is the description at booking. “ Eiffel Tower Guided Tour by Stairs with Optional Summit by Lift”. We were told no option to the top by our operator. False advertising?

An amazing experience with wonderful history of the tower! Walking to level 2 is great, time to rest on level 1 to enjoy the view and hear more history. Good pace, no rush and Joanna was brilliant. The view from level1/2/summit all incredible and worthwhile. We did the 7pm tour so had finished when the lights were on which was a great experience to hear the crowds cheer at 8pm. Exceeded my expectations

Fun experience with James today! We climbed to the second level and then took a lift to the summit for incredible views of Paris. James was a great guide! He entertained us with facts and stories about the tower.

When I signed up for this tour I didn't know it was 650 steps to the top. That information should be clearly stated in the description. We were unable to do that so we paid a 2nd time for the tour with a lift. Our tour guide Ruth gave me her number to meet us up there. When we finally got up there after waiting in line a 2nd time Ruth & our group were no longer there. We did run into 2 people who said she already left which was sooner than the tour was supposed to be over. The person that worked there said they would credit us if our guide was there. Tried calling the number multiple times & texting her. Also left a voice message. She never responded. VERY disappointed in this experience. Have done many Viator tours but won't again. I should be refunded for the 1st trip by Viator.
Our guide was very personable and knowledgeable, but the pace of the tour didn’t work well for us. Too much time was spent on the first floor away from the views, causing us to miss the sunset. It would’ve been far more beneficial to learn about the site while actually looking at it Instead of watching videos on an iPad. we chose to leave the tour early to explore the tower and head to the top ourselves.

Total waste of money. You essentially get the ticket you can buy in your own and about a five minute talk. The guide makes no effort to keep the group together, which also makes things challenging. Skip the cost of this tour and buy your own ticket directly from ET.

Simple but solid. It's a simple background info on the tour and in our case, we had a bigger team than usual because it seems our tour guide was absent and someone had to combine his group with ours. Still, a solid experience and can't complain. The trek up can be nerve wracking if you don't like heights (two floors are tons of floors really) but all in all good a solid experience and would highly recommend to get a little more than the general experience. The tour guide certainly knew the info. Just set expectations that you will have limited access to tour guide before you head up. It's one of those things you should do at least once in life.

We were very excited to experience the Eiffel Tower event with champagne at the top,. We arrived at the designated time, which was 645, with the event starting at 7 PM. We were met by the Tourguide at the meeting place and told that the program was canceled because there was a strike at the Eiffel Tower that day. We wish that they would have contacted us by text or email earlier in the day to let us know that a strike was going on that entire day, so we didn’t have to make our way all the way from our hotel over to the Eiffel Tower. Communication is key. On the upside, we were met by the tour company representative who told us it was canceled right then and he took a picture of our tickets and said we would be issued a prompt refund, which we were.

Highly recommend for first timers as the guide walks the group through the security process and accessing the tower, so no wasted time. André was our guide and made sure we saw the best views all around Paris. Great guide and he was able to give us all of the tower’s history! And after we were able to stay as long as we wanted

We didn't get to go because of a workers strike, not the fault of the tour company.we can't rate. Just waiting for a refund.

This is an active and informative tour. You will learn not only the history about the Eiffel Tower, but also some fun facts about other monuments around the city.

Our guide was very informative and entertaining while we walked to the Eiffel Tower, got tickets to enter and made it to the first floor. We got to that point by a little before 8P (7P start time) but I was under the impression that the tour was two hours and the guide would take us to the second floor. Perhaps I misunderstood the booking description. We did make it to the summit and stayed in the tower for about 3 hours. Especially if you go up there at night a jacket and perhaps pants or jeans might be useful since it's very windy up there. Also, don't schedule this at the end of a long day. We had two other tours and visited another site before doing this and it was a little much for one day.
