First of all, you still have to fall on a long line. A few in our group left as they had other activities they wanted to do, and were in line for like 3-4 hours on New Year's day before we got to walk in the 600 steps stairs. Looking back, it is probably better to just book at one of the restaurants in the tower than fall in line and pay this tour group.

Wouldn’t bother doing tour Paid for tickets to top floor to be told that the tickets aren’t pre-booked, the top of the tower was closed due to it being so busy, which we were told would be refunded, luckily by the time we got to the front to pay for tickets the top of the tower was open again, complete waste of time as the whole point was going to the top, buy your own tickets. Tour guide had a battered old folder showing photo’s of tower. Walked up to first floor then had a 15 minute break. Went off on our own.

My slot for the Eiffel Tower was cancelled given a sudden weather update (it was cold so the tower was frozen/closed at the last minute), but I was kept up to date of all updates and given options. I was rescheduled for the next morning and, luckily, weather had cleared up and we were able to reach the top! Tour guide was so nice and made sure we stopped on the first floor to explain historial context before letting us go off to the top! Great time - I'm so glad we were able to get to the top!
