Really nice and fun experience. Well prepared and great for American travelers. Nice people and delicious food prior to the baking process.

We had a fun morning with Valentina as our leader in this baking class. Going behind the scene of this amazing bakery was a great experience. We were given a choice if a complimentary pastry and beverage when we arrived, then learned how to make baguettes, financiers and croissants. All in 2 hours. There was a lot of information about the bread-making process and history shared by Valentina. We went home with armfuls of breads. Our 15-year old and we adults all had a great time. We took a cab there, but walked back to the Louvre area in about 20 minutes. Lots of fun, and the hands-on experience was a good break from regular city tours.

We’re so glad you and your family had such a fun (and delicious!) time with Valentina—she’ll be thrilled to hear she made the experience extra special. We love that it was a hit for both the adults and your 15-year-old—a future pastry chef in the making, perhaps? And a scenic stroll back toward the Louvre to top it all off—chef’s kiss! Thanks so much for baking these sweet memories with us. We hope to welcome you back for another tasty adventure soon

What a fun experience to learn about the baguette doughs, croissants pastries. We got to roll our own baguette & croissant plus made the batter for an easy almond cake. We were able to take our baguettes, almond cakes and a special croissant with us. Fun experience & learned a lot.

The instructor was nice, but we were expecting the class to be given by a French person who had a passion for the culture. We were not taught how to make a baguette or croissant, which is what we paid for - a waste of money! They lacked organization, and it was very uncomfortable to watch how the bakery staff treated our instructor. They reprimanded our instructor in front of us on three occasions, and I felt very uncomfortable and also embarrassed for her. It seemed like our activity annoyed the bakery staff, and we did not feel welcome. I do not recommend this activity.
Response from Host, Jan 2026
Thank you for your feedback. As noted in our prior communications, a refund was already issued. We’d also like to clarify that this booking was for a macaron-making class, not our French Bakery class (which covers baguettes and croissants), and the confirmation and follow-up emails reflect this. We’re very sorry to hear you felt uncomfortable during the experience, as feeling welcome is extremely important to us and we are addressing this with our partner. We appreciate you sharing your experience and wish you the best in your future travels.

Fun experience seeing the workings inside a bakery in France. We worked on baguettes, breads and mini cakes. The dough was all pre-prepared so not a lot of hands on kneading or mixing. We did mix the batter for small cakes and rolled pre-prepared croissants. More of an experience than a class as no recipes were used. Fun time for beginner and intermediate bakers. Our guide was Valentina and she made us feel welcome in the bakery sharing the experience and guiding us with some laughs.
Response from Host, Jan 2026

Did the baking experience with my 10 yo daughter during a quick trip to Paris. We wanted something off the beaten path and with the option of learning something new. I would absolutely do it again and recommend to any friend. It’s a great option for a multigenerational group.

Very authentic experience inside a busy French bakery. Focus was on breads, croissants and a special mini “pocket loaf” called the Financier. Why cheap flours need gluten for taste in USA. What perfection tastes like!
Melissa_F, Sep 2025
The bakery and our tour guide and other attendees were nice. We expected a bit more hands on baking and the recipe was off on what we did bake. Was fun but our expectations were higher.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Hello Mellisa, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the bakery, our guide, and the group atmosphere. We’re sorry the hands-on baking and recipe didn’t fully meet your expectations. Your comments are valuable, and we’ll use them to help improve future experiences.

I joined this French pastry class as a solo traveller and absolutely loved it! Salome was a wonderful teacher — engaging, patient, and so skilled at making everyone feel included. Even though I was the only solo guest in the group, I never once felt left out.
We learned how to make baguettes, financiers, and croissants, which was such a fun and hands-on introduction to French pastry. The class struck a perfect balance between being informative and enjoyable.
It’s definitely an experience I would do again, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris who wants an authentic and welcoming taste of French baking.

What a fun experience for the kids. We laughed the whole time and learned something too! Highly recommend.
Hannah_P, Aug 2025
Our bakery experience today was perfect!! David, our guide, was wonderful. He toured us through the bakery, explained everything thoroughly, and let us get right in there and bake in his kitchens. We made croissants, baguettes, and madelines. Everyone in the group got to be involved in the bakery process and the end product was so good! Everyone got to take all the extras home. Such a highlight of our trip!!
Christina_S, Jul 2025
Enjoyed the baking lessons just too many in the group. Made it very crowded. Disappointed given the price we paid.

Paula was great! My daughter and I had a lovely experience and left with so much bread for dinner. Would recommend!

Hands on baking experience in beautiful French little bakery, hands on, very kind and knowledgeable guide Pierre
Debra_P, Jul 2025
David was very interactive with 10 and 14 year olds. Hands on experience from beginning to end of baking many items.
Christine_M, Jul 2025
Loved this tour, was a great change of pace from the rest of our trip. Went into a real French bakery kitchen and was guided through how bread and pastries are made. My 5 year old son loved this, they made a huge effort to tailor it to be understandable for him. He loves rolling the dough and actively participating. The tour guide was so pleasant and knew his stuff. We also came away with SO much bread! Highly recommend this, was great fun!
Cathy_L, Jul 2025
Our family enjoyed this experience, especially our children (12 and 9) who love baguette and pastries in general. This isn’t a class to learn how to make bread yourself, but you are included in the process of how the bakery makes it and it is hands on. David did a great job as our instructor/guide. It was interesting to see behind the scenes of a boulangerie/pâtisserie and it was a fun experience. There was a lot of emphasis on cleanliness and we washed our hands many times throughout the class.

Valentina was fabulous! She was patient and positively fun with the kids as well as adults. Highly recommend this unique adventure!

Our baker who owned the bakery was delightful and we had a wonderful time learning to bake bread and almond cakes!❤️ I highly recommend this class!!
Angelita_L, Jun 2025
Pierre was a good tour guide. Funny, sweet, and nice. But, he’s not a baker, he’s a tour guide who does all sorts of tours. Lesson was pretty basic and you didn’t learn recipe measurements or baking tips. It was mostly an overview of how a baguette is made and for the almond cake, someone in the team just mixed pre-measured ingredients and we poured it in a mold and baked it. Then we rolled croissants that were pre-made and cut. Took a few seconds. The bakery was not what you would expect… was dirty, messy, and the guy making breads would touch his phone, pens, notebooks, and then touch the dough and bread. He would grab baskets from the floor and place it on the same table the freshly cooked breads were placed on. I don’t think this place would pass health inspections. Lady pouring fruits in cups was using bare hands. Sink used for washing hands would spray water nearby pastries. Very disappointing bakery but the treat we got in the end was very yummy.
