We pick up in all hotels in Panama city. Just leave us a note with your hotel in Panama city if you dont see your hotel. Its not needed to call to confirm. We need also your room number once you make check in. Hotels in Playa Bonita has additional cost of 10USD per people to be paid to the driver in cash. Other hotels outside Panama city, please contact us to know the additional fee, we do not pick up in hotels in Playa Blanca, Summit or Gamboa Rainforest, or others hotels more than 30min far from Panama city. Pickup from your lodging is scheduled between 5:00 AM and 5:30 AM, although in some cases it may be as late as 5:45 AM. Go island hopping in the San Blas Islands, and have all your logistics taken care of, with this full-day tour from Panama City. Relax with all transfers, water toys, beach equipment, lunch, snacks, and a beverage included.

- Please notice San Blas is an Indian protected zone. All the services are basic and rustic, only kuna people are in charge of all tourist’s services such as food, ground and water transportation, lodging, etc, we work with them to support the local economy. Please take this into consideration, the services are not as in the city, the waiting time can be long, and kunas are more informal. We have provided hospitality train to them, but they are still working on it, their culture is different, they are never in a rush, this is part of the adventure to San Blas. Food is basic such as fresh fried fish with salad and rice.
- The vehicle is 4x4 for 6 passengers plus the driver. Pick up time is between 5:20am to 6:00am depending on the route, you can be first ones of last ones. Please be ready at 5:00AM to avoid any delays to other passengers. No Show – or Mayor delays will incur in a penalty – cost of reservation fee. In case you will be pick up in Costa del este or near to the airport, pick up time is between 5:45 and 6:00am
- Day tour return is at 3:30PM. You will arrive in Panama City between 6:30PM and 7:00PM.
- We recommend you bring your personal hygiene items, towels, sunscreen, mosquito repellent. You can bring a cooler with your own drinks, potable water, snacks and beverages (fruit juice or alcohol) you can by on site or bring it yourself.
- The driver will make a stop in a super market where you can buy a disposable cooler, ice etc.
- In San Blas Islands there are no ATMs, only cash in received. You can buy drinks there, snacks, souvenirs etc.“+Movil” and “Digicel” are the cell phone companies which works in San Blas Islands.
- There is no power electricity in the huts, only light.
- Transport time is 2.5 hours way in and 2.5 back. Then 40 minutes to the island in boat. Real time in Islands is around 6 hours.

4 islands and a wonderful day! Met some great people in the trip, both a part of the tour and a part of the Guna community.
I think this is a great experience. Our Driver was quite knowledgeable shared a history lesson about the indigenous people of his tribe and took us on a tour explained all the geographical features. The boat ride was a pretty cool trip. It was small. The islands were just spectacular, clean, pristine water great shots.
It’s an early start, but worth it in the end. Definitely take motion sickness meds for the car ride. My friend and I normally get car sick, but with the meds we were fine. Eric was our driver and he was a great driver and really nice. The islands are beautiful and the water was clear and warm.
The islands themselves are impressive, the journey is not worth the prize. What makes the journey so bad?
1) The treatment form the drivers that get you there, they are like a small mafia to make this day trip tourist trap. I was picked up almost an hour after my scheduled time, the driver in the way over stopped at the most unsanitary place you can imagine for us to eat (not to buy water or other type of snacks)
2) Once you reach the “port” treatment by the tour operators is terrible. Despite, this being advertised as an English tour, no one really speaks it, so you depend on people that do speak both Spanish and English to help you out. The boats are uncomfortable and filled with people.
3) The islands you visit are dirty and filled with more tourist traps. Lunch was mid.
4) On the way back, my assigned driver decided to leave, so it took 30 minutes to figure out who was driving back. Worse, the driver made random stops without an explanation. Even though we asked.
Honestly the only highlight is the natural pool, but you can’t really enjoy it with all the crappy boats dropping other tourists.
If you have a choice or plan to do this trip do not take this tour. I fell for the trap.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that San Blas was not the experience you expected, but we would like to clarify a few important points.
All of our drivers are members of the local Indigenous community and travel the route between Panama City and San Blas daily. This is not a “mafia” or a tourist trap. Tourism in San Blas is operated by and in partnership with the Guna community, and the drivers, boat captains, and local staff are part of that community.
Regarding the language, we clearly communicate that English in San Blas is basic. San Blas is an Indigenous territory, where Spanish and Guna are the main languages spoken, and English levels vary among the local staff.
The stop on the way is a local supermarket/rest stop where guests can purchase breakfast, food, drinks, water, snacks, and anything they may need before entering the territory.
We would also like to clarify the transportation logistics. Your driver on the return journey may not necessarily be the same driver who picked you up in the morning. Upon returning to the port, our guide is there to assist you and assign you to the appropriate vehicle for your return to Panama City. As several boats and groups arrive at similar times, there may be a short waiting period at the port while vehicles and passengers are organized. This is a normal part of the shared transportation logistics and does not mean that your driver simply “decided to leave.”
San Blas is a very rustic destination. The port is basic, transportation is shared, boats are traditional local boats, and logistics sometimes require vehicle or boat reassignment. It is very different from visiting a highly developed Caribbean resort destination.
We are particularly sorry that you describe the experience as a “tourist trap,” because San Blas is quite the opposite. It is an autonomous Indigenous territory where tourism is locally operated and visitors experience islands and communities that remain authentic rather than manufactured for tourism.
Thousands of travelers enjoy this experience every year, but we also understand that San Blas is not a destination for everyone. Travelers looking for luxury infrastructure, large comfortable boats, fluent English-speaking staff, or highly structured tourism may find that San Blas does not match their expectations.
We are sorry it was not the right experience for you, but we strongly disagree with characterizing the local Guna people and their tourism operation as a “mafia” or a “tourist trap.” What you experienced is a remote, rustic and authentic Indigenous destination, and supporting the local community's participation in tourism is an essential part of what we stand for.
Everything went as planned! No hiccups. Our driver Toty was very knowledgeable and informative! He gave us a 3 hour history lesson about Panama, rhe islands and the Guna people. Alex our other guide ensured we stayed on track for the whole tour! Definitely recommend them
The experience was amazing, our driver picked us up from the lobby of the building we had an Airbnb at. Along with a few other passengers in the area that would be joining us on the excursion. It was a long drive but felt faster on the way back. The boat was very fun to ride to the different islands and our guide was very helpful. Our guide Nigel, was very attentive and made sure we were able to order drinks or food that we wanted and always made sure everyone was onboard and had a life jacket before heading to the next destination. We visited 4 islands including the natural pool and were given a good meal along with some fruits. It was a great experience and I 100% recommend!
The beaches are beautiful! Not much time spent at each though maybe 45-1hr. The last two beaches do accept cards for a 10% charge. Lunch was delicious. The drive was nauseating. A lot of hills and turns. Take dramamine in advance and close your eyes or go to sleep to help get through it. Little English is spoken by your guide and boat drivers. Boat drivers can be a little rude. There is chaos on site before leaving for the islands. Lots of people just sitting in one area waiting to leave. If you have any back, mobility or serious health issues this activity is not for you! There is little to no assistance getting in and out of those boats. Overall, I would probably do this excursion again.

As San Blas is a protected Indigenous Guna territory, all of our boat drivers and local guides are members of the community. Their English is basic but sufficient to explain the day's activities, and while their communication style can sometimes seem more direct than visitors may be used to, we will certainly share your feedback with our local partners to continue improving the visitor experience.
The boarding area can be busy in the mornings since many boats depart around the same time, but once on the islands, the atmosphere becomes much more relaxed. We also agree that this tour is adventurous by nature and may not be suitable for guests with significant mobility, back, or other health concerns due to the boat transfers and uneven beaches.

This was an experience! The photos, the videos don’t do this place justice. You should definitely see these islands with your own eyes. Beautiful beaches, friendly people. I had an amazing time!
Our experience with this tour was excellent from start to finish. The tour operator was phenomenal—everything was well organized, communication was great, and the pickup and drop-off were right on time.
A special thank you to our driver, Milci. Although he spoke limited English, he communicated well, was friendly, and made the three-hour drive comfortable with his safe and smooth driving.
The beaches were absolutely beautiful with crystal-clear water, and the food provided was good. Our island tour guide did a great job and kept everything organized, making for a relaxing and enjoyable day.
The only downside—and this is not the fault of the tour operator—was the condition of the amenities on the islands. The restrooms, rinse areas, and showers could use a little more care and maintenance. The infrastructure is already there; it just needs a bit of TLC to make the overall experience even better.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and created great memories. I would absolutely recommend this tour operator to anyone visiting the area. They delivered an organized, enjoyable experience, and the stunning beaches made the trip well worth it.
We had tons of fun island hopping. The water was beautiful and clear. Snorkeling there was an ultimate treat. We would recommend this for all adventurous travelers. The long journey to the destination was definitely worth it.
Great experience just as described. Each employee was an expert on the area and its history, all we needed to do was ask! The boat guides were super helpful and very professional. Snorkels were provided (when we asked) for the four islands we visited and saw many fish, coral, and starfish. Our driver from and back to Panama City communicated very well and was patient (even though we prepared, the drive was very windy) during our journey. We were the best kind of exhausted when we returned. I highly recommend this tour!

San Blas was the highlight of our trip to Panama! From the early 5:00 a.m. pickup in Panama City to the breathtaking drive through the mountains and lush jungle, the adventure began the moment we left the city.
My wife and I had an amazing time exploring all four islands, with the Natural Pool being our favorite stop. The delicious hot lunch and refreshing Balboa beer made the experience even better.

The islands were worth the travel time. The water and beaches were amazing. It's about a 3 hour drive there and then an hour by boat each way. If you are tall or large the car will feel cramped and you may have a challenge getting in and out of the boat at each stop but they will help you.
Very nice tour guide, and food was provided. I also liked that we had pickup included. However, our boat engine malfunctioned in the middle of the ocean. We were there for quite a while, about 20 minutes We had to switch boats on the water, taking off our life jacket to switch. When it was time to leave the last island, they brought back the same boat that broke down, and we were unable to leave for an additional hour. By the end of this, i was pretty drained from the experience. Nice and helpful tour guides but i feel like they need to stay on top of their boat maintenance!

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the boat engine issue. Unfortunately, on that day we experienced an unexpected mechanical failure after receiving contaminated fuel with water from a local supplier in the islands, which damaged several boat engines. While this situation was completely unforeseen, we understand how frustrating the delays must have been.
Since then, we have replaced the affected engines with brand-new ones and have strengthened our maintenance and fuel inspection procedures to help prevent this from happening again.

The Ugly: Here is my horrid, racist experience with Nida and Yadiel's Tours. Honestly before this happened, I would have still graciously given this company a three but these things just took an already subpar experience into the depths.
-At one of the stops, there is no dock and you unload directly into the ocean, which is awkward but fine. When getting back in the boat started rocking a lot and I became afraid and looked to the guide, Nida, for help. He shrugged his shoulders and then looked away. Whatever, I let it go.
-When getting back into the boat from the third island, Nida told me to sit in a different spot. I thought maybe they were just rearranging and didn't think anything of it. When another black woman came and sat down next to me in the boat, Nida, sucked his teeth and rolled his eyes and told me I was in the wrong seat. I said I was confused. He said, “Lady, lady, please, ugh” and shook his head at me. He then said, “You should be in back”, and I said, “But you told me to sit here.” He said, “I confused you with the other one (pointing to the other black woman). I couldn't tell the difference.” Then he turned around like nothing happened. I was completely shocked. So disrespectful! So that was gross.
The Bad:
-Outside of the blatant racism, this company was just completely disorganized and chaotic.
-First , the boat broke down and we floated in the ocean for 30 minutes. No communication was given about what was happening.
-We had to transfer to another boat in the middle of the ocean with nothing holding the boats but our hands. They also told us to take our life jackets off so that they could keep the life jackets with the right boat. So we all did that exchange in the middle of the ocean with no protection whatsoever if we fell in the ocean. And actually my shoe fell off as we were transferring but luckily another passenger caught it for me.
-Also, Nida didn't do a good job of giving us timelines and so at one of the islands, he just came and rushed us out of the water and was like, let's go.
-The worst was at the final island, Nida finally gave us a time to be back at the dock. He told us to be there at 3:30. We were all at the dock at 3:30. We waited UNTIL AFTER 4:30 for our boat to come!!! No communication was given from Nida about what was happening. We also could have spent an extra hour in the water instead of waiting on the dock.
-At the end, Nida made a sly comment saying he was sorry about all the bad stuff that happened, and then later shrugged and said, “That's life.” Worst customer service EVER!
The Good:
-The islands of course ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!
-The staff at each island are kind, helpful, and the lunch was delicious!
-Definitely worth the trip, just choose another company.
-Also, it is pretty far from Panama City and you are traveling across the country which is great. You get to travel through the whole rainforest basically and we even saw a sloth which was nice!

We have spoken directly with him about this incident. He explained that his intention was simply to identify which passenger he had previously assigned to a specific seat for weight distribution in the boat, not to offend or discriminate in any way. However, regardless of his intention, we fully recognize that his choice of words was inappropriate and understandably upsetting. For that, we are genuinely sorry.
We categorically reject racism or discrimination of any kind. Every year, we welcome thousands of travelers from all over the world, representing many different cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds. We are proud of the diversity of our guests and are committed to ensuring that everyone feels equally respected and valued.
Regarding the mechanical issue with the boat, unfortunately, unexpected breakdowns can occasionally occur in this remote archipelago, where boats operate daily in open sea conditions. Safety is always our highest priority. One advantage of traveling with our company is that we are one of the very few tour operators in San Blas that owns and operates our own fleet of eight boats. This allows us to dispatch a replacement boat as quickly as possible when an unexpected mechanical issue occurs, rather than leaving guests stranded for hours or canceling the excursion altogether. While we understand that transferring between boats in the water was uncomfortable, it was the safest solution under the circumstances.
We do, however, agree that our communication during this situation could have been much better. Our guides should have kept guests informed about what was happening, and we appreciate you pointing this out. We will use your feedback as an opportunity to reinforce this with our team.
Regarding the delay at the final island, the replacement boat needed additional time to reach your location after the mechanical issue. We understand that waiting without updates was frustrating, and we sincerely apologize for the lack of communication. We agree that keeping guests informed is just as important as resolving the situation itself.
Regarding boarding the boats directly from the water, this is part of the authentic San Blas experience, as most islands do not have docks. Our crew is always available to assist guests who need help boarding or disembarking, and we are sorry that you did not feel supported during that moment.

Nice place beautiful road scenery but very long drive in a small crampedcar and the driver wasn’t a tour guide used just a driver didn’t really speak so it was just OK
This was one of the best excursions we went one! The drive was very long from our pick up in Casco Veijo but totally worth it!!! It’s a long winding drive through the mountains to get to the beach!!!
If you suffer with any type of car sickness, motion sickness, sea sickness. Then I highly advise you not to go. If you are a person who likes experiences then you will enjoy. Otherwise wise it can just feel like a really long day going to beach after beach.
Islands were beautiful the last was my favorite.
Again, if you love experiences. I recommend. If you’re looking for excitement go another route.
This is a lovely trip-and even though it's a long drive that starts very early, it is worth it. The waters are beautiful and warm, the views are idyllic, and the guides are so kind and helpful. The only downside is that there are A LOT of people going out there and it gets a lil crowded/congested, but it was still worth it.
Use lots of sunscreen. It’s a wonderful time and totally worth the drive out there. It’s really nice when they can pick you up where you’re staying; I felt that it was a huge perk. The islands were beautiful. For me, a full day was enough. If I go back, I would probably try staying a night or two.
The driver showed up one hour late. He can’t speak a single word of English. After three hours we reached the port where the actual tour starts in a boat and there is a guide, the guide also can’t speak a single word of English. Let me remind the tour description says there will be a English speaking guide which is an absolute lie. This is unethical dishonest tour operator who mentions there will be English speaking guide to sell their tours in actuality there is no English speaking guide. I didn’t understand a single thing that the guide was saying. I still provided a decent star rating because the islands was absolutely gorgeous and the Guna people were very innocent. The negative review is against the corrupt tour operator.

We would like to clarify a few points for future travelers. First, the driver is not the tour guide. The transportation from Panama City to the port is provided by a local driver whose role is solely to transport guests safely to San Blas. The tour itself begins once guests arrive at the port and board the boat.
Regarding the pickup time, our pickups start as early as 5:00 AM for the first guests on the route. Since transportation is shared, the pickup process can take approximately 20–30 minutes while collecting the remaining passengers in the group. Delays of one hour are extremely unusual, and we have no record of a delay of that magnitude on the date of your tour. However, we apologize if your pickup experience did not meet your expectations.
We also want to clarify that San Blas is an autonomous indigenous territory where tourism services are operated by local Guna families. As explained in our pre-tour information, all service providers in San Blas are local residents, and English proficiency is generally basic. We always assign the Guna team members with the strongest English skills available, but fluency levels can vary in this remote region.
Our intention has never been to mislead travelers. On the contrary, we believe one of the most special aspects of San Blas is the opportunity to interact directly with the local Guna community and experience their culture in an authentic way. This is very different from visiting a highly commercialized tourist destination.

We went to 4 islands, guide was great, beautiful, clear water. Great to learn about the Kuna !!!!!!!!!
We visited 3 islands and one natural pool. The beaches are all white sand, the water clear and beautiful. Really loved cat island. Erick and the team were great at keeping everyone on time. Loved snorkeling the ship wreck at Perro Island.
The drive and rocky boat was worth this trip definitely enjoyed it relaxing and fun. It says bring cash but they did also take cards as well for the last too Island and the lunch was also good.
It's a long day tour but worth every penny. Those islands are amazing!! That water is unreal and everyone is so kind and nice
Overall, this was a memorable 4-island day trip in San Blas with some real highlights and a few drawbacks to be aware of.
The islands themselves are absolutely stunning, with clear, calm water that really lives up to the photos. Each stop felt beautiful and relaxed, and lunch was surprisingly well organized. They took individual orders in advance with options like fish, chicken, or vegetarian, and we also had fresh fruit like pineapple and watermelon at one of the stops. You also get one drink with lunch, with water as an option.
Logistically, the day is long. The drive to the boat dock is about three hours each way in an SUV with a few stops along the way, which helps break it up for restrooms or snacks. That said, the vehicle is quite tight. With six passengers, the seating was uncomfortable, especially for anyone tall or in the middle seat of the second row. I would strongly recommend considering this if you are above average height or sensitive to long cramped rides.
Once you arrive, the boat portion is more transport than guided tour. You are essentially moved from island to island and then left to enjoy the water on your own, which is fine if that is what you expect, but there are no structured activities included. We saw kayaks available at one point, but they were not actively offered and time on each island felt somewhat limited. I would have personally liked a bit more time at the first island.
One thing to note is that restroom access at the boat area requires small change, which felt unnecessary and worth preparing for in advance. Also bring your own towel, sunscreen, and extra water since those are not provided.
Despite the travel discomforts and some logistical quirks, the natural beauty of the islands really does make this worth doing. It’s best for people who prioritize scenery and swimming over comfort and structured activities.

-Long vehicle ride, was a windy road and a tight squeeze for 6 people
-Tour guide did not speak english (very limited communication once out on islands)
-Boat broke down on way back from islands (no idea what was going on due to no one being able to speak english)
-No snorkeling, masks we re not even offered
-Beach games, kayaking any sort of water activities weren't offered. Once we got to the stop it essentially was "We are here for x amount of time be back at this time" that was about the only communication that could be done.
-Very long day, but that was expected.
Overall it was an OK day but other tours were definitely better value for money.

San Blas is a very remote indigenous territory, and the road to the port is indeed long, curvy, and adventurous. Shared transportation is done in 4x4 vehicles that can accommodate up to 6 passengers, as required for these mountain roads. For travelers looking for additional comfort, we also offer preferred seating options with extra space, as well as private transportation upgrades.
Regarding communication, most of the local drivers and boat captains speak only basic English, as they are members of the indigenous community and not professional tourism staff from the city. We understand this can sometimes make communication difficult, and we continue working to improve the experience while still supporting local employment within the community.
We are sorry about the inconvenience with the boat on the return trip. Occasionally, due to the rustic conditions and remote location of the islands, unexpected mechanical issues can happen, although safety is always the priority.
Snorkeling masks, kayaks, and beach games are available on the islands and shared exclusively for our guests. We appreciate this feedback and will reinforce it with our local team to improve communication and activity coordination.
San Blas is definitely a long and adventurous day, focused more on experiencing untouched nature and indigenous culture than on luxury tourism infrastructure, but we truly value your comments as they help us continue improving the experience for future travelers.

The islands themselves were beautiful but I really hope the organizers got it together because they made it a very frustrating experience. First of all, they never reached out to me to tell me when they’d meet me and where. I had to message them through WhatsApp to make sure that I was getting picked up the morning of (5am). I was freaking out because no one was answering. Then after figuring that out, it was a huge mess picking up the rest of the group. The drivers themselves were GREAT. But the actually organizers seemed to over complicate things because the driver couldn’t do their job right if the organizer wasn’t communicating with them or the group. Point is, I had to be switched cars because they didn’t know who was getting picked up, then they put me in the wrong boat. Organization-wise: HORRIBLE!! Beaches - gorgeous!! If you decide on this tour - make sure to know all the details beforehand - don’t expect them to do it. Happened to another girl I was talking to in the island smh

Regarding the transportation logistics, the cars are organized one day before the tour based on the hotel pick-up information provided by each guest, and normally there are no major issues. The main challenge happens when travelers book separately but wish to travel together in the same vehicle, while staying at different hotels. In those cases, pick-ups must still follow the most efficient route according to nearby hotels, and each vehicle has a maximum capacity of 6 passengers.
At the port, there is also always some waiting time while all guests arrive and the boats prepare for departure. Again, when guests are traveling together as a group, it is much easier if they make one reservation together or stay at the same hotel. It is also very important that we are informed in advance that guests are traveling together so we can properly organize the transportation and boat assignments.
From what we understand, it seems your case may have involved a separate reservation from the rest of your group, which likely resulted in a different arrival time at the port, creating some confusion during the coordination process.
Additionally, we always send a pre-trip message with all the important details, including pick-up information and the phone number of the logistics manager who is in charge during the early morning operations. Our general customer service line starts operating at 8:00 AM, since tours begin very early in the morning.
We understand that in your case there was confusion during the pick-up and boat coordination, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration this caused. San Blas logistics can sometimes be complex due to the remote nature of the indigenous territory and the coordination between multiple local operators, but we are continuously working to improve communication and organization for our guests.
