What are people saying about Panama City

Tour to the village
This tour was amazing, definitely a must do. Dan was so insightful and gave us interesting history tad bits on Panama. It rained on the way back from our tour and he even had ponchos for us to use. The fruits were the best I ever had and I will be dreaming about them at home. From the road trip there, the people, the food and the boat ride you are definitely getting a well rounded experience 10/10.

Even the rain made it a great experience!
Totally GREAT! Hotel pick-up. Private Tour w/ your own guide. Pay just one time: no extra entry fees. Sightseeing tour and history lesson all in one neat package. Our guide, Ricardo, picked us up at the Hyatt on time and made the entire trip a pleasure. Got rained on a bit while watching monkeys but it only added to the experience. Riding in a boat alongside of a huge container ship on Lake Gaton blew our minds. Seeing the same container ship we saw on the lake actually going through the locks was amazing. This is a must do when in Panama. Thank you, Ricardo!

Excellent Experience by the Extraordinary Manolo!
This tour is a must do in Panama City! Our guide, Manolo Luis was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and entertaining. We have seen many types of monkeys and other wildlife and were given interesting facts. I was personally impressed by the organization of the tour; for example: each person was handled their own binoculars which they could use throughout the tour; we have been given a raincoat - just in case; tasty snacks during (empanadas) and at the end of the trip (pineapples). Furthermore we have seen a number of ships crossing the canal. Be mindful to be ready for the tour ahead of the time as they might pass beforehand/ this happens to me and u almost missed the buss; the actual owner was kind enough to pick me up and take me to join the others in the bus.

Good overview of the canal and Casco with Dimos
Good overview of the canal and Casco with Dimos. After the canal visit and IMAX, most of the time was spent in the van (with A/C) driving over the Bridge of the Americas, Amador Causeway, and then around Casco Viejo with a few stops for souvenirs and snacks. Especially if staying in Casco, it’s a good way to start a visit to learn the canal history and function and then get a feel for the area.

The Panama Canal may be the most well-known attraction in Panama, but there are dozens of Panama City day trips that showcase more of the country’s culture, history, and natural landscape. The dreamy San Blas Islands, the dormant El Valle volcano, and the Chagres National Park take you deep into Panama’s lush landscape, while closer wildlife tours to Lake Gatun and San Lorenzo National Park get you within an arm’s reach of sloths and monkeys. Maximize your time by taking Panama City day trips that stay in the city, joining walking tours or pub crawls around historic Old Town Casco Viejo.
