Fun and informative way to spend a layover in Panama City
This is a great way to spend the day if you have a long layover at Tocumen. We got to walk around Casco Viejo, learn local history, see the locks on the canal in action, and check out the BioMuseum to learn about local nature. Our guide Miguel was easy to communicate with, organized, flexible, funny, and very knowledgeable about the city and country. Great time, great value for money.

A Great Day
Our guide Dimos was absolutely brilliant. The vehicle was spotless and new and Dimos spoke almost the entire trip telling us about the history of Panama, the Canal and the central City. We were collected at the entrance to the cruise port (5 minute walk) which made the entire process very easy. A great day out and recommended for cruisers.

Best layover ever!
Pick up and drop off from the airport was easy! Our guide spoke perfect English and Spanish and was very knowledgable about the history, culture and sites of Panama. He was willing to tailor our experience for our family. We even found a sloth! I really felt like we got to visit Panama City!

A fun day in beautiful Panama City!
We started the day with Eddie, our guide, who picked us (and our luggage) up at the hotel. We toured Old Town and visited a museum with indigenous stitched artwork called Mola. So beautiful! Then we toured the Miraflores locks where we saw the Imax movie about the construction of the canal. After that, we embarked on our ship and settled in for our cruise. It was a fabulous day! We especially appreciated the flexibility of this tour, and we were able to do all of the activities that we wanted.

A long layover in Panama City is actually something to look forward to. In fact, Panama City layover tours are a great way to explore the city. They vary in length, so whether you have two or eight hours to kill, there’s probably a tour that fits your schedule. See the Miraflores Locks of the Panama Canal, take in the skyline from the Amador Causeway, visit the Panama Interoceanic Canal Museum, or wander the historic streets of Casco Viejo. You can do all these activities and more and still get dropped off at the airport with plenty of time to make your connection.
