A great introduction to the tea ceremony.

This was a great introduction to the Japanese matcha tea ceremony (Chado). The class was small (actually I was solo this time), and during the hour the instructor, Kana, carefully took me through how to prepare matcha in the traditional way. The demonstration is simplified, so while there are several steps to remember, it is still very approachable. It’s a small studio, and the class took place at a western-style sit down table, so it is suitable for those who may have mobility issues that prevent them from sitting on tatami mats. Overall a wonderful class!
