Our guide Sofia was exceptional. She knows her Mexican history and has in depth knowledge of the murals, the artists, and the historical context. We visited the most significant murals as well as some lesser known murals in a public market. We could have easily spent 2 full days with Sofia - there is so much to see and understand if feels like we barely scratched the surface. And her English is excellent.

Ady was a fantastic guide. She was so warm and friendly and fun. She was so knowledgeable about the murals and such a great communicator. We learnt so much. The murals were incredible and we saw some hidden gems that we were unaware of.We highly recommend this experience.

Sofia was an excellent tour guide with so much knowledge and passion about the murals. It felt so special to be shown the murals in the market. A location I most likely would not have ever seen on my own.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a kind note! 🙌 We’ll make sure Sofía receives your warm regards.

Great tour into murals and connection with Mexican history. Our guide was fantastic and provided a lot of information that was easy digestible. Highly recommended!

Ulysses was a very knowledgable and accommodating guide. He took us to many murals and examples of public art that would have been very difficult to find independently. His passion for Mexican art, culture and history made the experience unique and memorable. Highly recommended if you want to learn a ton about Mexican murals many of which are hidden in plain sight!

The tour was Mexican Muralism and it was outstanding! Amazing to see these works of art and learn about Mexican history. Our guide, Sofia, was an amazing tour guide. I highly recommend the tour and guide.

I am so glad I decided to book this Mexican muralism walk! It made me fall in love with Mexico even more than I already had! I felt that I learned a lot about the struggle to survive of the Mexican people and how their agony poured out into Diego Rivera murals and the students that he inspired. I feel that it I would have gone on my own I could have maybe found them but would have no idea the history behind them, which was fantastically told by our tour guide Ulysses. He was very passionate in his storytelling which made the experience that much more wonderful. Quite simply, I loved this tour.

Wariyor was the most passionate tour guide I ever experienced. He was detail, proud, and easy to talk to. Let's just say I wish the tour was longer. If I have any friends that love the history behind murals , I will tell them go with Wariyor. Loved every moment.

Diana was very knowledgeable and a great guide. Would recommend. 3 muralists featured are Rivera, Orozco and Siquieros.
Marlene_G, Mar 2025
This was a fascinating tour of some of the best murals in Mexico City. We learned a lot and had a great time viewing some of the hidden gems!
Diane_D, Feb 2025
We saw murals and buildings we never would have found on our own. The guide was very good. Fun! But be aware that you need to be able to walk. Not a lot, but some

Sophia was our guide and she was excellent. It was apparent how much she truly cared about the murals. She was incredibly knowledgeable and insightful.

This was a fantastic tour with Warryor who showed us some murals we would have never known about otherwise. He went above and beyond because we ran out of time to visit the last stop. He invited us to meet him later that day after his afternoon tour and he took us to the last mural. Very knowledgable about the murals and the city. Highly recommend!

I absolutely LOVED my tour! I went with my 14 year old daughter. It ended up being just us on the tour and I felt SO lucky! I got to ask all the questions I wanted and take all the time I wanted when we went to the various places. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable about both the area and the art. I am a mural painter around Austin, Texas, so I was excited that this tour was offered. I would recommend it to anyone interested in art and history. Many of the murals were politically charged, which was a neat peek into history.

Highly recommend taking this tour with David! He’s so knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the murals and the story they tell. He also took the time to teach us about Mexican history and culture along the way. One of the stops is a mural in the market and we would have never known they were there - really feels like you get an insider tour

I recently took a tour focused on the Mexican muralism movement, and it was fantastic. The guide was amazing, providing insightful and engaging information about the murals. We explored several stunning murals in Downtown Mexico City. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in art and history.

I met Warrior at the spot agreed to meet. Some of the others failed to meet up so I had him all to myself . We walked around some the old markets and he showed me some amazing art. But he also told me the history , the stories and who painted them. He really filled my head with a new found knowledge of mexico city.
Income away buzzing . He really is a fantastic guy and guide .

Warryor was an excellent tour guide - giving so much information about the mural movement at the end of the Mexican Revolution - take this tour to learn about art and murals!
Holly_B, Apr 2024
We loved this! Guerrero (“Warrior”) taught us so much and showed us some cool pockets of murals we never would have discovered on our own. Thank you!!
Paul_D, Mar 2024
Our guide led us through several major locations where murals of Mexican history are displayed. She gave us her passion and breadth of knowledge about the historic drives to commission the murals by renowned artists and how each delivered their often conflicting versions. We learned about the symbolism that was foundational to understanding the murals and opened a version of Mexican history that was totally unknown to us. We loved this tour!
Maria_K, Mar 2024
I would recommend this trip to anyone interested in a 3.5 hour deep dive into Mexican mural history. Guide was very knowledgeable and passionate on the subject. Unfortunately Diego Rivera murals were not included in the tour. This is an active tour (99% standing), with no official water/toilet breaks so be prepared. The tour felt long, and some people left early.
Susan_V, Mar 2024
Very knowledgeable guide we learned a lot. It was longer than expected so many participants left early
Sara_S, Mar 2024
Erin is a fantastic guide, one of the most knowledgeable I have ever had, and her love of murals comes through during every part of this tour. This is one of those tours where, yeah, you could go see the murals on your own, but you would miss all of the nuance and context surrounding them. You should definitely go.
I do have a couple of suggestions, however. The first is that the tour went on far longer (which was great!) than listed, and so that should be updated. The second is that there wasn't a break for water/snacks built in. A couple of hours wandering through museums didn't sound like something I needed to bring water and snacks for. This tour lasted well over four hours, going through lunchtime. I was so thirsty and so hungry by the end! It would be a good idea to build in a little snack/drink break into the tour.
Having said that, I loved this tour and highly recommend it. Just maybe bring water and snacks and expect it to last longer.
Rekha_B, Feb 2024
Very knowledgeable guide. Enjoyed learning about the history of the Mexican people and the Revelution.
Erin_H, Jan 2024
Wonderful tour of places off the beaten path! Loved the tour guides knowledge of and passion for this topic.
Virginia_G, Jan 2024
Our guide was very knowledgeable about the murals, the artists, and Mexican history. We requested a change to the itinerary, which our guide gladly accommodated, to go to Bellas Artes.
Alex_S, Oct 2023
We had the best guide in a long time, the Warrior, who was smart, entertaining, and knew his subject cold. Would recommend the tour highly. It opens the door to muralism and the significance of the art form to Mexican culture through the present. Diego Rivera et al and their work are essential to understanding how the country struggled and is still struggling to right past and present wrongs that continue to hold back Mexico. The Warrior explained it all!
Risa_D, Oct 2023
Our tour guide, Ulisses with Estacion Mexico, was great. I learned so much and he took us to murals that I never would be able to find on my own! I had been to Mexico City the year before and had gone to the Secretary of Education building before but with a guide it was a totally new experience. He also showed us areas of the building that I didn't know about! This was a great tour and I'm looking forward to doing another tour with the Estacion Mexico team for the next visit!!
