Not beginner friendly,...

Everett_H, Mar 2026
Not beginner friendly, wasn’t in English. Went over each move for only about a minute or two and moved on, added hands, added partners, it was all too quick and I was trying to translate the instructions but couldn’t really understand with how quick they were going. The others in my class seemed to be enjoying it but I left early, it just felt like a humiliation ritual to be honest.

Phenomenal class!

Teresa_S, Feb 2026
Super fun class!! Went with my partner but they do a great job of rotating partners to keep everyone learning! You could come solo and have a blast as well!

Salsa newbie

Ryan_S, Feb 2026
Was fun and challenging. We started 30min late due to prior class running long. Was entertaining to watch the more advanced dancers learn and practice before us. Studio is warm, bring water and dress light

Two left feet? No problem

Enthusiastic and encouraging teacher. We had a great time and are thinking about going back for another lesson before we leave. LGBTQ friendly.

Fun, supportive...

Fun, supportive environment, and attentive instructors. It was helpful to understand some Spanish to be able to follow along, but probably would’ve been fine either way. I would definitely do this again!

Great Dance Class!

Carly_S, Aug 2025
Great dance class! Our class was filled with beginners and our teacher really met us at our level. We learned a lot and had tons of fun!

Fun Salsa!

It was a really good experience. Our instructor was super friendly, easy to understand, and very knowledgeable.

I really enjoyed this...

I really enjoyed this class, even though it was the first Salsa lesson in my life and I joined it by myself. On the way back, Uber arrived immediately upon my request.

Great intro to salsa

Mario_F, Aug 2024
Great introductory class. The teacher was great and people lovely and helpful. The hour flew away. The location is great if you want to socialise afterward.

Highly Recommend!

Ruben_O, May 2024
Brilliant experience. The teacher was super nice, patient and fun. He showed us the basics as we had never danced before. The other people were very encouraging and make it ever more fun. Would highly recommend as part of your visit to Mexico City!

Just follow the music!

Wonderful! Kentaro is a master at salsa/bachata and an incredibly patient instructor. Class sizes are small and intimate - which was great for me as I prefer the extra attention on my technique. Though the studio is a little tricky to find at night - you’re actually walking into an alley and up a few flights on a blue staircase. Either way, the staff was really nice and I plan to come back again. 10/10 - I highly recommend.

I loved it

The woman was an excellent teacher and very charismatic and the location was great. I absolutely loved it! I wish If I wasn't just passing through I would have taken more classes.

Fabulous Experience for Solo Travelers

Allison_L, Jan 2024
The absolute best way to make friends if you are traveling! This event has a great mix of locals who come regularly and first timers—it truly is a melting pot of an event. I came not knowing any salsa and felt like k could dance the basic steps by the end of the hour and a half. The class gets packed and you really do get a chance to talk to everyone through switching partners. The class takes place in the seating area of a food hall and drinks are available for purchase, seems like food was as well. There is paid coat check for your belongings, but mostly people just scatter their belongings on tables and chairs. It felt very safe and everyone really just immersed in dancing and mingling. Would recommend dressing comfortably, after the class, the space turns into a dance floor and you’ll likely find yourself dancing for several hours more! Left with a lot of friends and new connections.

you can do better

Jackie_S, Oct 2023
This class could be better. Please see 3 main feedbacks: 1) It was very hot and very crowed; it was not outside as shown in the photo. It should be advertised as is. 2) There were no directions given for where to put personal items and ultimately no space provided other than the paid coat check area. As this was not communicated, everyone who had collectively set their things on a nearby table had to step out of the class and pay to store their items which had been grabbed and moved from the table. (We are bilingual Mexican Americans. This information was not given to the group in any language...it felt very rude and was a bad vibe to start on). 3) It is not beginner level. Maybe we got unlucky, but instructors were not very supportive teachers. I am not saying this because I had a hard time keeping up; I am not a beginner. This is my observation as someone who dances salsa regularly and has gotten to learn from many others. My partner is a beginner, and this class was lacking and overall discouraging. (from our experience in class end of july 2023)

The instructor did not...

Brigitte_d, Dec 2022
The instructor did not show up. We called and he felt sorry, tried to offer alternatives but that did not work for us. At least we got our money back.

Fun

Alejandra_A, Sep 2022
I met a lot of interesting new friends from all around the world and also learned new steps that I can use next time.

Wish I could have experienced it

Fabian_F, Aug 2022
Unfortunately our instructor did not show up. Myself and three others waited for 40 minutes to no avail. I did get my full refund. That being said, I still paid $20s in Ubers and spent 1.5 hrs in transportation and waiting. I trust that our instructor simply had an unforeseen circumstance. That being said, I never received any communication to know what happened.

Response from Host, Sep 2022

I am so sorry, this happened. We had to switch the location last minute. please let us also pay your Uber fee. and if you can come our classes, we will invite you for free classes next time.

Dismal experience from start to finish

David_C, Apr 2026
THE TEACHER NEVER ARRIVED AND TO THIS DAY MY MONEY HAS NOT BEEN RETURNED. At no time did they contact me to let me know that there was a delay on the part of the teacher. I paid for a private parking lot to get to class on time and we were stood up to 12 people. I do not recommend this experience at all.
