The tour was interesting and the guide was friendly and engaged. Her English was somewhat a limiting factor although generally she could be understood. It would be preferable for the guide also to go with us into rooms inside the house, but perhaps that wasn’t allowed.
barbara_b, Mar 2026
The information given gave us so much more meaning when we saw the exhibit. I am so glad I took this tour as a part of seeing the museum. Highly recommend!
Cynthia_C, Mar 2026
We chose the tour because it could get us into the museum before the end of April. The guide relied heavily on books and photographs on his phone. He was not well versed in any aspects of the museum even minor things like what time does the museum shop close. Lastly, he seems like he was distracted and more interested in talking to his buddies along the way. The museum is worth seeing. The tour guide was disappointing.
Anita_S, Mar 2026
A nice combination of information and free time to peruse and see the exhibit — knowledgeable and personable tour guide
Yukimi_H, Mar 2026
Ivan was a great guide, very knowledgable and animated. Just to set expectations for others: there are restrictions on guides within the actual museum so all information is provided outside the house itself. Still helpful but means a lot of standing outside receiving information and then a shorter time actually in the space. It can be a lot to stand in one place for young children or older adults.

You won't enjoy your visit to this museum without a guide's recounting of the times and life of Frieda Kahla and Diego Rivera. The museum itself is not well curated and there's little description to give you some context about what and why things are being displayed.
Katlin_M, Mar 2026
Our guide, Ivan, was very knowledgeable and fun to tour the blue house with! It was amazing to see Frida's life up close.
Cynthia_K, Mar 2026
I loved the Frida Khalo Museum Tour. Mauricio was so knowledgeable. We were happy to have him as our guide. The museum tickets were sold out till April— so glad we booked this tour last minute and got the chance to learn about Frida during our time in Mexico City!
Rose_A, Mar 2026
Armine was hilarious!!!! And so knowledgeable. We laughed the whole time and learned so much. I’ll never think of Frida the same way again!
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m thrilled to hear you had such a fun and memorable experience. It means a lot to know that the tour not only made you laugh but also gave you a new perspective on Frida’s life and work. She truly is an unforgettable artist.
Luz_G, Mar 2026
A nice and intimate visit to Frida Kahlo’s house with a kind, knowledgeable guide and a small group. It made the experience feel personal and meaningful. I highly recommend learning a bit about Frida beforehand—it truly deepens your connection to her life, her resilience, and her powerful impact on Mexican culture and art.
Elizabeth_K, Mar 2026
Alex was an incredible guide. He is so knowledgeable and could answer pretty much any question our group had about Frida and her life. He was very patient as the Viator tour was a bit confusing and switched our times for the tour the evening before, but then we couldn't get in and had to wait in a long line, holding up our group. If you go on this tour, hopefully you have Alex as your guide! He was so lovely, brilliant in his delivery and knowledge, and also provided some amazing tips of local spots to eat at after the tour. It ended up being one of our most memorable meals! So glad to have met you, Alex!!
Diego_L, Mar 2026
This tour shows you some of Mexico’s well known artists and culture. A must see if you’re visiting Mexico City!!! Our tour guide, Alex, was phenomenal and knew his history well.
Sharon_D, Mar 2026
Amarine was very knowledgeable, polite, and fun. She enhanced our experience at this fantastic cultural site.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
It was my pleasure been with you.
Brent_C, Mar 2026
Our guide Alex was very passionate and gave us a lot of good history and facts about Frida and those in her life.
Balaji_S, Mar 2026
What could’ve been a standard stroll through blue walls and famous paintings turned into a full-on, time-traveling deep dive into the world of Frida Kahlo and Diego. Armi didn’t just guide us, she performed the story. Equal parts historian, storyteller, and low-key stand-up comedian. Good trip to Casa Azul. Make sure you keep aside 90 mins for the tour.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Wow, thank you so much for this amazing review! 😊
I absolutely love how you described the experience—it means a lot to know the tour felt like more than just a visit, but a real journey into Frida and Diego’s world. That’s always my goal!
It was such a pleasure having you, and I’m so glad you enjoyed the storytelling (and the little bits of humor along the way 😄).
Thank you for recommending the tour and for taking the time to share this. I hope to see you again someday! ✨

A very informative guide with a lovely personality. Learned a lot and had a lot of fun. Even got a free cup of coffee
Response from Host, Mar 2026

Eric_P, Mar 2026
Maite our tour guide was great and very informative. Loved the storytelling. During our tour Maite gave us a bit of “homework” before going in. She gave is 3 paintings to lookout for and then to provide our opinion on what we think the reason Frida painted what she painted. Definitely gained a lot more knowledge about Frida’s life. Highly recommend Chill n’ go tours. And if you do book hopefully you get Maite!
Marilou_M, Mar 2026
Tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable It was a small group , only 8 The house, gardens, paintings and artifacts were beautifully displayed. I would highly recommend the tour
Jessica_C, Mar 2026
We loved visiting Casa Azul with Maite! She provided a rich context and detailed description of Frida’s life that made the visit much more meaningful. She engaged the kids and gave them tasks to find/observe as we ent through the house. Highly recommend!
Charles_A, Mar 2026
The small group tour with Leonor was really outstanding - her passion for and knowledge of the subject matter (Frida’s life, art, marriage, house, etc) really made the experience special! Both my wife and I are so glad we took the tour, and we both feel lucky to have had Leonor as our guide. Lots of tour guides are good, and teach you something, but a few are exceptional, creating an experience that is as memorable and positive as it is informative.
Jeff_W, Mar 2026
Maite Couoh was a wonderful tour guide during our visit to Casa Azul! She had so much knowledge of Frida’s life and really made you feel like you were getting to know her a bit through this wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this tour and especially with Maite!
Angela_J, Mar 2026
Leonor was amazing and knew so much about Frida Khalo and the history of her and her life. We learned so much. I thought I knew a lot about Frida. However, there was so much I didn’t know.
Lale_O, Mar 2026
Museum was great.
Our guide was much better than that. She explained all the life story of Frida like we were with her. She was great.
Her name was Armine Perales
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you so much! I’m really glad you enjoyed the tour and had fun learning about Frida and Diego. It was a pleasure meeting you!
Sophia_P, Mar 2026
Amazing tour! Mauricio was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a great experience. Guides are not allowed inside so we spent time talking about Frida in the garden then were let loose to explore on our own, then came back together to discuss what we saw. Really nice!
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thanks Sophia I'm happy to know that you enjoyed the tour, it was my pleasure, I hope you have a great time here in Mexico City
Elena_J, Mar 2026
Very interspersed tour, well organized, Vali is amazing, knowledgeable, very attentive.
Totally worth going
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for your kind words. Hope to see you soon!
Elena_S, Mar 2026
The “tour” of Casa Azul was an independent activity. I originally signed up for the tour at 11 AM. I received a call the day before telling me to be at the Casa Roja at 9:40 for my tour. I arrived early and there was no one to meet me. I took the tour of the house independently and it was beautiful and interest. After that, I went to the casa Azul and they had no information about my tour. I realized I did not have a ticket and I would have to try to find my tour operator. Fortunately, there was a very kind young man who called the office and found out the name of my guide, Hector was an amazing guide. Explained things so clearly and so well I was completely engrossed. He was very knowledgeable and and even showed us some photos and provided extra information in spite of the disorganization with this tour I had a very positive experience. Mil gracias!
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really happy that we could help you visit the museum
Mordechai_M, Mar 2026
Amazing tour of the lives of talented artists. Couldn’t be as good without the fantastic guide of Leonor whose knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm was superb!!!
👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏
Crystal_H, Mar 2026
From start to finish, our experience was very delightful. The price is definitely worth it, having someone giving you the backstory to of Frida is life changing.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you so much for your kind words. We’re truly happy to hear that your experience was delightful from start to finish.
Frida’s story is incredibly powerful, and we’re glad the guided experience helped bring her life and legacy into deeper perspective for you. That means a lot to us. <3
We hope to welcome you again on another tour in the future!
Larry_C, Mar 2026
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and was almost like a professor of Frida Kahlo's life (almost at times a bit too much detail), but we left with a better understanding of the artist and her relationships. It wouldn't have been the same experience if we did a self-guided tour, so I certainly recommend this semi-private tour.
Paula_M, Mar 2026
Mauricio is an excellent guide! We really appreciated the background lesson before we went into the blue house and appreciated that he noted specific items/paintings that we should be on the lookout for. It was super helpful and made the experience more special. We booked the tour because we weren't able to get tickets through the museum website and it was definitely money well-spent!
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Gracias Paula! It was a pleasure to be your guide and I hope you come back so we can offer you another experiences!
