There's a lot of walking,...

We booked not knowing we were located out of their pickup area, but instead of them canceling they picked us up. There's a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes and clothes. The streets are crowded and narrow. The tour was a couple hours and he didn't rush through it. Carlos was very nice and even asked if he could drop us off somewhere else besides the hotel.

Amazing tour of Comuna 13 with Andres!

Our visit to Comuna 13 in Medellín was absolutely unforgettable. Andre, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the history and transformation of the neighborhood. He shared powerful stories that gave real insight into the resilience and creativity of the local community. Throughout the walk, Andre made sure we were comfortable and even took beautiful photos of our group, capturing the colorful murals and vibrant atmosphere perfectly. The tour ended at a lovely restaurant with a spectacular panoramic view of Medellín — the perfect way to wrap up an inspiring day. I highly recommend this tour and especially Andre for anyone wanting to truly experience the heart and spirit of Comuna 13!

Our guide Jaime was knowledgeable and told the whole story of Comuna 13-no holds barred. The good with the bad. Very informative and gave a really good idea about the transformation this area has undergone since the 1980s.

Comuna 13 at sunset

It was a fun and interesting tour with Carlos. He was really cool and the neighborhood loved him which made us feel comfortable. The best part was having a later your start, so we got to see the sunset at the top of the comuna. We wish we had seen a little more graffiti art in other parts like we thought, but overall it was an enjoyable tour.

Amazing, in-depth, culture experience

Overall, great experience and private tour was able to get an in depth perspective and understanding of the people and the lifestyle changes in comuna 13 and it was big community but definitely a sense of togetherness anongst the people. Altogether it was a fun experience and will definitely come back again and let others know about it. Jaime did a phenomenal job of tell me all about past vs present and the great changes.

Andres exceeded our expectations. His ability to rear when and how to engage was exceptional and we travel a bit. His knowledge and passion for his community and how it evolved was contagious. He was so proud of the authenticity of this community that is probably one of the best representations of the spirit of Medellin. We stayed in the more affluent areas but, this tour for us was rich.

Amazing Tour Experience!

We were lucky enough to have the wonderful Fabio as our tour guide, who gave us an evening food tour. He was extremely knowledgeable, and despite being a food tour, he afforded us the unique opportunity to ask questions about a range of topics (culture, politics, education, etc) and learn about Medellín through his lens. The tour also provided a lot of flexibility based on our particular interests, so we felt we received a personalized and curated experience. It was a wonderfully rewarding and authentic experience. We would highly recommend!
