Itinerary

Choose between a morning or afternoon departure and meet your guide at your hotel in Medellín. Leave the city behind and ride in a new SUV or car to a summit with views of the valley below. Enjoy the view as you continue your ascent into the mountains.

Visit the towns of El Retiro, Llanogrande, and San Antonio de Pereira for a taste of authentic Andean culture, indulge in a lunch of classic Paisa dishes, like beans, plantains, and pork belly, an a delicious dessert, before pausing for free time by the base of the region’s famous waterfall. Throughout the tour, enjoy views of the forested mountain landscape, visit colonial churches and plazas, and drive through a mix of Colombia’s wealthy and subsistence villages alike.

For those extending their tour, head toward El Penol Rock, a giant monolith with breathtaking views of the surrounding lakes. Next you wil be driven to the colonial town of Guatape. Marvel at the architecture of the church, the cobblestone streets and the colourful Plaza de Los Zocalos.

It was a great experience. The guide spoke really good English. It was a good experience for those who want to explore towns outside of Medellín, but don't have much time. The places we visited were nice. The dessert at the end was my fav part.

The trip was good and our guide Carlos was amazing!!!!!!!

Loghan and I had a blast on our private tour of El Retiro. Our guide Carlos was amazing and very knowledgeable of the Area. He made us feel as if we were VIPs as he took us to different locations and showed us around the city. He even helped us when a local tried to overcharge us to go back for pictures. He was a cool guy who knew all of the best areas. He truly made our trip memorable.
