Our driver, Eduardo, was a wonderful driver who took us from Madrid to Segovia and back. He first took us to a spot to take a great panoramic picture of the Alcazar and gave us ample time to freely roam around Segovia after the guided tour was over. Our local guide who was born in Segovia was wonderful as well and gave us a lot of details about local legends as well as the history of various buildings, structures and neighborhoods. She also reserved a spot at Meson de Candido in advance per our request and we were able to enter the restaurant right at the opening time and taste suckling pig which is a must in Segovia. While the private tour was a bit pricey, it was definitely worth spending the whole day in Segovia and not being rush to move along at a quicker pace when you are in a group tour.

A wonderful experience in Segovia

We had a wonderful day in Segovia. We were promptly picked up from our hotel by our driver Roberto. He safely drove us to Segovia, pointing out items of interest as we drove. Once there, we met Coral, our guide for the day. For the next hours, we walked around the town and she gave us information about what we were seeing, and the history of this amazing place. We finally ended at the Alcazar…an amazing place. I have bad knees, and Coral was so good about pacing our pace to allow me to keep my strength. After our tour, Coral and Roberto took us to a restaurant famous for its suckling pig. After lunch, Roberto took us to a French styled palace, then over the mountains back to our hotel. I would highly recommend this tour, thank you!

Segovia Private Tour

We were picked up promptly at our Hotel door by Roberto. Our ride to Segovia was filled with information provided to us by Roberto about Madrid and Segovia. It was a nice introduction to our tour. In Segovia we were met by our guide Corral. She was extremely knowledgeable of this very history rich town. She guided us a long a beautiful walk in and outside of the city provided a very detailed accounts of the history of this city. She also arranged a lunch reservation at the oldest restaurant in Segovia. The meal was delicious and the ambience just as amazing. Roberto met us promptly and brought us back to our hotel. We highly recommend booking this tour.
