Itinerary

Meet your guide at Bilbao Metro Station in central Madrid to begin your Craft Beer and Tapas Tour. Enjoy a short stroll to the lively Malasaña quarter and discover how the historic district has become one of the city’s coolest neighborhoods. Hear about Malasaña’s traditional pubs, hip new bars and eclectic nightlife as you follow your guide through the atmospheric quarter.

Along the way, stop at four different taverns, renowned for serving the city’s best selection of craft beers and enjoy a comprehensive introduction to Spain’s burgeoning craft beer scene. Be surprised to learn that Spain’s beer scene offers far more than just big name brands like San Miguel or Mahou, as you sample a wide variety of craft and micro-brew beers, accompanied by another Spanish specialty – tapas!

With your appetite sated and a belly full of beer, end your tour back at the Glorieta de Bilbao metro station, where you can bid your guide farewell and head back to your hotel or continue your evening, armed with plenty of recommendations for the city’s best bars and nightclubs.

Understanding the Wonders of Madrid!

Daniel is an amazing guide! We highly recommend this tour, especially if you’ll be in Madrid for more than a day. Daniel is exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of Spain and the unique communities of Madrid. And then there are the beers and tapas—absolutely incredible! He introduced us to the beauty of Spanish cuisine and some excellent local beers. The whole experience was so much fun.

This was way too expensive for what we received. We went to perhaps three bars, had one beer in each with some tapas that are often free anyway and spent the equivalent of what it would cost for a very fancy dinner at a top restaurant. The guide was a nice guy and he did show us a square where all the students sit around drinking beer but it would have been much better value at half the price.
