Perfect day in Funchal

Lucy was a wonderful tour guide, so knowledge and personable. Last minute change and my husband could not go so I went on my own. I changed the itinerary and had a wonderful time at the Botanical Gardens and taking the cable car back to the city. Would highly recommend this tour company.

Lucky is a fabulous tour guide and driver. 4 of us totally enjoyed the tour she recommended and we had a great time. She is so knowledgeable and speak great English. We highly highly recommend it if you are interested in having a private your in Madeira.. by the way, they provided a nice and comfortable car which we had plenty of leg room and space..

We were collect from the ship promptly at 10:30. Carlos the driver was an excellent tour guide, we visited some outstanding places in the mountains, the Rum factory being just one of the many. Carlos found us a superb restaurant for lunch, even recommending what to have. The tour continued after the excellent lunch, eventually getting back to the ship at about 16:30. The only disappointment being they supplied a mini-bus, very comfortable, but we were expecting a car as there were only two of us. Overall a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend Viator for future excursions.

Miguel was an excellent guide, friendly, flexible and had great suggestions for sightseeing with our group. He went above and beyond our expectations. This was our first time to Madeira. With very little information he was able to navigate to my father’s birth place (we had no address) by listening to the few clues we were given by our father who lived there 60 plus years ago. As a result I was able to FaceTime with my father back in the US and share our visit to his home country (and his childhood home) since he was unable to come with us. It was truly a dream come true! Obrigado Miguel! You did an amazing job!

Im Vorlauf hat sich mein Gefühl bestätigt. Der Veranstalter wollte absagen da er keinen deutschsprachigen Guide hat. Da wir fließend englisch sprechen sollte das Date stattfinden. Daraufhin wurde uns ein Guide mit unserem Namen vor dem Schiff versprochen. Leider war niemand da . Und es war niemand da. Wir sind mehrfach a. Schiff auf und ab gegangenen. Und die Plattform glaubt dem Veranstalter. Hände weg.

Dear Sir I have already replied to all the platforms where you have complained. 1. On that day i had 62 shared tours all got picked up. ALL found their busses and guides. 2. 5 privates only you didnt find your guide? 3. The guide entered the harbour at 09h27 left the harbour at 10h30 didnt find you. Your pick up was for 10h00. He had a board with your name on it. Big enough for you to see it. I exchanged whattsapp with you even sent the name of the guide. Then you tell me you got a taxi on the port funny enough our bus with our logo was parked not even a metre from the taxis, the only minibus there at that time, seeing all the others had left and the driver was up and down looking for you. I know on that day it was a raining day. I find it very strange that you were the only one out of all our guests that didnt find his driver/guide?? Normally when guests dont get picked up not your case. They call the platform, the travel agency etc. You did none of the above.

Wir waren mit Toni im Nordwesten der Insel Madeira, wir waren eine Familie mit 2 Kindern (8&13) und noch ein befreundetes Paar. An unserem Tag lagen 3 Kreuzfahrtschiffe im Hafen, dank Tonis Empfehlung haben wir davon nicht viel gemerkt. Alle waren von der ruhigen Art und dem vielen Wissen über die Insel begeistert. Toni ging auf all unsere Wünsche ein und zeigte uns die schönsten Ecken von Madeira. Vielen Dank Toni für diesen wunderschönen und unvergesslichen Tag auf Madeira.
