Amazing activity, so much variation in the route but all so fun! Some tricky off road parts but not too long and instructor was very helpful.

Incredible trails and vistas of Madeira

We biked for about 15 miles through laurisilva forest, levadas, and mountain roads through the countryside with incredible vistas of the ocean. This was my first time mountain biking, and the trails are gnarly in some parts, but would highly recommend. The tour guide was fantastic.

We had a lovely time with Jimmy!

We had a lovely time with Jimmy. There was only 4 guests in total, so we were able to chat a little more than if it had been a big group. Jimmy was friendly and helpful. He clearly loves mountain biking and is at home on the island. We did the beginners trail, which was still quite challenging at times, and the terrain changed quite often, from rocks, to road, to dusty paths, to forest paths, to asphalt again. The ride down the mountain was a mixture of mountain biking and sightseeing and we felt that it might have felt smoother if it had focused on one or the other. Jimmy is more of a professional biker than a tour guide, which is fair for this kind of activity. He was very attentive to our different needs and was always ready to help. The views were beautiful, the trails overall easy to navigate. We had great weather, and had a lot of fun. Thanks Jimmy!

Excellent bike ride for beginners

For beginners this ride was excellent. For riders with more experience and you just want to get out on your bike and explore it’s very good. In my group I had the most experience so the guide catered for the majority as you would expect.
