Transportation with a view, but not a guided tour

The tuk-tuk picked us up at the port and took us to the Botanical Garden. We had an hour there to explore it on our own (no guide at the garden). We were then taken back to town and at our request dropped off at the city square. We had a great view of the city and the harbour, from the back of the tuk-tuk. Would recommend if you are looking for transportation to the garden, but not a guided tour.

Why go to the far east when you can experience a tuk tuk ride aroung Funchal ! I would strongly recommend booking before you travel or just after you arrive as it is a very popular tour and gets booked up days ahead. Andrea our guide was very knowledgeable. As well as giving a running commentary on places of interest she answered all our questions so well. It's a great way to spend a few hours without taking a whole day out of your holiday. I would definitely recommend this trip.
