As Windsor Castle is a working royal palace, sometimes the entire Castle or the State Apartments within the Castle need to be closed at short notice.
Please note that St George’s Chapel is open for visitors on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and closed Sunday.

Guide never showed up

The tour guide never showed up. What a horrible experience. We booked this several months ago and we were looking forward to this as a highlight on our trip to London. We woke our kids up early and we were all excited to see these sights outside of the city. And we waited for an hour until we finally heard that no one was going to show up. What a huge let down- really put a damper on our trip.

Hi Ariann_B, Thank you for your review. We apologize for your experience with us. To our knowledge, the driver guide's coach had broken down and no one could contact them. They tried to send a replacement but they were sent to the wrong hotel. Our private manager sent a letter of apology and processed a refund on our end.
