We picked this tour because after spending a few days in the City of London we wanted to escape to the countryside. We were so fortunate to have Lucy as our guide as she made the day a complete joy. As you drive through the quaint villages, Lucy gives you an entertaining bit of history about all that you are seeing. My own main reason for this tour was to see the Cliffs of Dover, and they were magnificent! Another reason for picking this tour was the total group size. This comfortable van holds 16 people max, we didn’t want the large coach with a large group. This tour is a definite 5 star day. I’m so glad we did it and so happy we met Lucy.

Very organized and well run tour to some spectacular and charming places in the countryside. Both Lucy and Nowl were full of fun facts about the area and the history surrounding what you see. The group was smaller so it was a little easier to navigate. Highly recommend this company for future tours!!

Lucy is a very knowledgeable, engaging, and fun guide. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and answered all of our historical questions. There is quite a bit of walking but we had ample time to explore each sight. The White Cliffs of Dover were stunningly majestic and to be on the pebbly beach with the cliffs as a backdrop was a highlight! Chilham Village was quaint and charming, Dover Castle was a treat and the hospital tour in the underground tunnels of the castle was sobering - we owe so much to the brave men and women who fought in WWII! The castle is easy to explore and is very interesting. Canterbury Cathedral and the town of Canterbury were also a highlight. The choir was singing while we toured the cathedral which was lovely. Lucy arranged the day perfectly and I would totally recommend this tour and suggest asking for Lucy as your guide!! Thank you, Lucy, for such an exquisite tour - it was a perfect day!!!

Loved this experience. Our guide, Cara, was energetic, knowledgeable, and a great story teller about the histories of the places we visited. The tour was a lot of fun. Logistics: Bus was comfortable, rendezvous point was easy to find, and we arrived and left on time.

This was a lovely tour of SE England - the minibus (which our guide called Horatio) was very new and comfortable, and let us visit some places larger groups couldn’t. Our guide/driver Lucy was the BEST - I still don’t know how she managed to share so much interesting (and entertaining!) history while driving, but she did! She made the day go very smoothly for everyone. From a charming hamlet in Kent, to a beautiful day at the coast and castle of Dover, to time in Canterbury, it was excellent all around. My one suggestion would be that it would be nice to have additional time in Dover, and a little less time in Canterbury (maybe do the tour in reverse?) - there’s so much to see in Dover castle, vs Canterbury which felt very commercialized. But seriously, we both loved Lucy, and had a fantastic day!

Terrific tour just be aware there is a lot of walking up and down steps at Dover Castle. We are seniors so a challenging day for us but can’t say enough good things about our guide Tony. He did a wonderful job!

Our guide Cara is fantastic! She made the experience so enjoyable! She has vast knowledge of the area and shared enthusiastically 😊 we had beautiful weather. Cara also negotiated a way around a traffic issue on our way back easily and was able to give a couple on our tour a different way to get to their destination that was interrupted by the traffic issue. We highly recommend any tour Cara is on!

Cara does a fantastic job taking you to some of England’s most quaint and beautiful countryside. Her knowledge of London and southwest England is impressive and she shares her knowledge in an entertaining fashion. Dover Castle and the surrounding area is a must see. Our guides were Cara & Val. Both were great fun to talk to & they were VERY patient with 2 old ladies who were always the last 2 to the bus. We had Lucy as our guide. I’ve been on many of these tours and she is by far the best I’ve had. Incredibly knowledgeable and funny. The tour itself was amazing. Having a small group of 14 was so much nicer than the big bus tours. Each stop was fantastic. I was in awe the entire time.

We LOVED this tour with Lucy!! So many things to see, perfectly paced, and Lucy was a fount of information about the history of the locations. We visited Greenwich and Chilham Village. We walked on the beach below the White Cliffs. Then we toured Dover Castle and Canterbury Cathedral. All amazing, highlighted by Lucy's interesting commentary. Take this tour, you will not regret it!
